Chrissy Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 It was a mistake to look at this thread. At 41 I feel like an elder stateswoman. I have underwear that's older than some of you guys. Sigh! Oh well, at least I've still got it. Just can't remember where it is Watch it youngster ~ no need to mention underwear! Just cos our get-up-and-go has got-up-and-gone! Quote
Coffin Nail Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Watch it youngster ~ no need to mention underwear! Just cos our get-up-and-go has got-up-and-gone! Maya Angelou says that getting older is a wonderful and exciting challenge....you are filled with wisdom and experience and you have a new self belief, and sense of worth that evades you when you're young. It's also exciting to see which bosom hits its southern most point first See, there's always something to look forward to. Quote

Reid Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 i'm 30. after July i'll have to go up a box Quote
Johnny Carson Whit Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 I am now 30, which sounds so strange to me when I say that out loud as well as a little bit frightening. When I was in school some of my teachers were 30, I feel like I should still be in their class, they were proper grown ups. Quote
Ilona Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Wow, I'm starting to feel kind of young... Seventeen for me. Quote
Jonathan Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 There are a lot of young people on here. I am 28:irked: Quote

Guest radjack Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 as of March 1 I'm 18 years old. I can finally travel on my own This summer I will go visit London for the first time (I'm Portuguese for those of you who don't know) Quote
Tina Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 I'm 20, turning 21 (so I chose the 21-30 option). I love this age, I'm still young but able to do whatever I want. Ah. Quote
Chrissy Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 I'm 20, turning 21 (so I chose the 21-30 option). I love this age, I'm still young but able to do whatever I want. Ah. Same goes for your forties! Quote
Abby Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 I'm 28, so I'm an adult but not quite a proper grown up (in my eyes you have to be 30 for that). I will, however, be turning 29 in July though so I'm getting closer! Eeek! Quote
corina Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 bravely saying...47. (Had to scroll back a few pages to find a few around my age ) You know, many people here have said they look younger than they are and I don't doubt it. It is because we all stay inside and read books therefore avoiding sun damage. Besides... reading makes you beautiful Quote
Denise Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 Im turning 40 in the next few months......YEEK!!!!! Corina,I wished I did that cos then I wouldnt have so many wrinkles.. Quote
Karsa Orlong Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 I recently turned 44. I suppose that means I should have known the meaning of life, the universe and everything for a couple of years now but I'm not actually noticing any difference Quote
corina Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Can I just add how wonderful I think it is that so many young people here read? My two kids, daughter, 18 and son 16 were read to from age 3 months. Maybe I overdosed them on reading. :blush:They loved it until they were about 14. Now son is forced to read for English Lit at school otherwise neither would read a book now *cries*. Quote

There is a high probability that will change. I am 25 now. My parents read to me constantly when I was a kid and I read myself until my early teens. I then totally abandoned reading throughout high school with the exception of novels I was required to read for English. I didn't really start reading again until about 18 months ago. I read 50-something books last year. Quote
Vladd Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Just turned 43, thanks by the way for all the birthday messages Quote
Ooshie Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 I'm 48 tomorrow - I can't quite believe I'm that age, I'm sure I must be counting wrong! Quote
