I love watching musicals, from the old ones to the latest blockbusters, I find them so colourful and entertaining.

From the stage to the big screen I'm usually glued to them and am always looking out for new ones :D

Some of my favourites are:

Seven Brides For Seven Brothers

Phantom Of The Opera

Jesus Christ Superstar

Hello Dolly

Sound Of Music

Mary Poppins

I wasn't sure if you'd class it as a musical.. even though it has music! lol

LOL anything that has people singing again and again in it counts as a musical in my book :D

I've seen the west end musicals:

Cats 4 times

Starlight Express 2 times

I would love to see:

Phantom of the Opera

I love musicals and would be happy seeing them all but for some reason people kept treating me to Cats lol....Not that I'm complaining. It changed everytime I saw it and I've loved each visit.

I'm not a huge fan of stage musicals (just can't stomach Andrew Lloyd Webber).

I do love all kinds of film musicals, from Calamity Jane to How to Succeed in Business (Without Really Trying).

I have on DVD:

Chicago

Calamity Jane

7 Brides for 7 Brothers

The King & I

State Fair

Oklahoma

The Sound Of Music

Oliver

Annie

Mary Poppins

Gigi

The Wizard of Oz

West Side Story

Guys & Dolls

High Society

Easter Parade

Meet me in St Louis

Can't think of any others at the mo (though I'm sure I have others).

I do love Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, but whenever anyone mentions it I get an overwhelming urge to break into song: "oh, me old bamboo, me old bamboo".

Mary Poppins affects me in a similar way. Cor bloimey guv'nor...

I'm always worried that I'll start singing along when we go to see a musical. If you heard me sing you'd know why this is a particularly bad idea. Mia, one of our cats, always leaves the room when I sing!

Try going to Eurodisney and being completely unable to stop yourself shouting at Mary Poppins. Cor Bloimey!

I wouldn't be me if I didn't make a fool of myself at every given opportunity! :D

When I saw Grease for the second time, I went with my Mum who was supervising a trip for the school she worked for. My Mum and I were in a minibus with teachers and sixth formers and I basically did a one person performance of Grease - from start to finish in the correct order - on the way there. I was 12 and, with hindsight, am increadably embarrased!

I want to take my kids to see Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, they love the film

Turned the TV on at the weekend and there was Dick Van Dyke, dancing with his old bamboo. :D

We're doing the musical version of Oliver Twist at the end of the year.
