Has anyone discovered the wonders of Iceland?? Good value and excellent quality. The fish is really good. For instance whilst Tesco and Sainsbury's white fish fillets (cod, haddock, etc) they only offer pieces of fillet, at Iceland, you get 4 whole fillets for

Iceland is a great shop. Good value and good food.

 

It's not very often I shop there but I do when I want to stock up the freezer cheaply.

I love Lidl too they often have fab offer like 75% all fruit and veg and they are so cheap for olives, olive oil, cheeses, etc

Yes, Lidl's great. They have lots of continental stuff that you don't see in the big chains, and usually at attractive prices too - that really appeals to the sauerkraut-munching Teuton in me . In fact, most of the so-called "budget" chains are worth a look - you can often come out with some real bargains (obviously, I exclude "Ghetto" from that statement ....)

I was going to go to Lidl tonight, but had to get home because my car had a warning light go on. I plan on going tomorrow though, as everyone at work raves about it.
