I've been using my gym membership card as I always take my book to the gym with me... Now I don't tend to forget either my membership card OR my book since they're together. ;)

Aww Ben ... you poor thing. You should make one! :D

I suck at things like that. ;)

I have quite a few bookmarks and I am trying (and failing) to make my own ;)

I got a lovely bookmark from my husband for Christmas ~

That's lovely, I seriously need to get one from somewhere.

I could make you one but seriously it would be lacking but ultimately keep your book marked ;)

Oh no, I don't want you going to the trouble of making me one, I'll get one from somewhere.

Arboretti are a British company who make the most beautiful wooden bookmarks. I've bought a selection from Borders, although I can only one of them at the moment! I'm terrible at keeping bookmarks in one place, but I'm sure they're dotted around all over the house.

This is an example of what they look like:

In fact, I'm so bad at losing bookmarks, and these are so beautiful, I tend to use something less valuable now. My current bookmark is an old train ticket from a particularly great day trip last summer.

Lol at book thongs. Makes me think of books wearing G-strings :readingtwo: But they sound a really good idea.

It makes me think of books wearing shoes :D

I started making my first book thong the other day. It doesn't look too bad but I can't get the thickness of the string right. First I bought some that was too thick, then got some that was too thin, so now I have to hunt around for some that's 'just right'. Third time lucky, I guess!

I like the edward one. Wouldn't mind him smouldering at me everytime i opened a book.

Dear god, take me out and shoot me.

It's a bookmark.

Bookmarks don't smoulder at anyone.

*cries*

Damn you Stephanie Meyer!

If God's busy I can do it.

*goes off to check her NRA membership card is still valid*

I have these really nice lace one, but most often it's random movie or hockey tickets that end up functioning as bookmarks. It's something about wanting to save the ticket but not having a rational reason to keep a stack of old movie tickets around. This way they're "useful". I'm all about self-deception, it's my latest hobby.

You're spending way too much time on here! :readingtwo:
