I might reread this for Christmas too! Finished Ulinka Rublack's The Astronomer and the Witch, which stayed very good right to the end - a comfortable 5 out of 6 stars (excellent). I've now moved on to 10 Minutes and 38 Seconds of this Strange World by Elif Shafak - a book group choice, but one I'm also going to be able to include in my Reading Around the World tour, counting for Turkey. It's off to a very promising start.

Finished the first eponymous story, on to the next. 13 hours ago, willoyd said: Finished Ulinka Rublack's The Astronomer and the Witch, which stayed very good right to the end - a comfortable 5 out of 6 stars (excellent). I also fancy Ulinka Rublack's The Astronomer and the Witch. *So many books, not enough time* I bought The Ruin of All Witches, Malcolm Gaskill and will have to make do with that for now. I got part of the way through that many years ago and abandoned it. Be interested to see what you think of it.
Brian.
I’m taking a bit of a risk with my next book, The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett. I picked it up a while ago to complete a ‘Buy One Get On Half Price’ deal at Waterstones. Hopefully I’ve not chose a stinker.
willoyd
Finished 10 Minutes and 38 Seconds in This Strange World by Elif Shafak. Ultimately, didn't quite live up to the early promise. 3 out of 6 stars - an OK read. Not sure of what's next.
Brian.
I decided to start another book while I've got a few on the go already, The Spy Who Came in From the Cold by John le Carre. So far I'm liking it but I do think I'm more of a Len Deighton man to be honest.
