~Andrea~ Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 How'd the Murder Mystery dinner go, F&C? You still with us? Having leftover Chinese tonight. Yum! It was pretty good thanks - lol no I didn't get bumped off. It was good fun, and we guessed correctly who had done it. It was a buffet dinner - stilton and broccoli quiche, cold meats, various yummy salads and potatoes and lemon dessert/strawberries and cream. Tonight: chilli
Stephanie2008 Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 Jacket Potatoes, Salad and Chicken. Having a healthy (ish) day today - plus it is one of my favourite meals. Can't beat a bit of salad.
madcow Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 Fish, chips and mushy peas but not from the chippy lol
Nici Posted September 3, 2008 Author Posted September 3, 2008 Green vegetable quiche, I have no chance of getting Robbie to eat it so he has Quiche Lorraine. Not sure what to have with it yet though.
KW Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 Last night's roast didn't get completely consumed, so...
KW Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 I ended up eating a frozen Yogurt....lol...Michelle will laugh at that.
Kylie Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 I have almost no food in my fridge so I'll probably have scrambled eggs on toast.
Roland Butter Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Question I've been meaning to ask, Kylie. What is it with Aussies and beetroot? "Big Aussie Breakfast" - egg, bacon, sausage, beans, mushrooms, beetroot, toast ... etc etc "Big Aussie Burger" - prime beef quarter pounder served in a lightly toasted bun with lettuce, tomato, pickle, slice of beetroot, mayonnaise ... etc etc ???
KW Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 The fam finally dusted the pot roast, so it's up to me to throw something NEW together: Chicken of some sort...
Lilywhite Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Big pot of soup being made here.... I can't wait
Colin Jacobs Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 A home made Ruby Murray with egg fried rice. need something to warm me up!
Kylie Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Question I've been meaning to ask, Kylie. What is it with Aussies and beetroot? I'm not usually the biggest fan of beetroot - I can take it or leave it - but a good burger must have beetroot! I don't think I've ever had it with brekky though. My goodness, now I'm hungry for a hamburger (hold the pickle). Do you dislike beetroot?
Roland Butter Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 No, I love beetroot, but just not with my breakfast . (Blue Fish Cafe, Darling Harbour, among others...) I was just intrigued as to how this humble vegetable had managed to inveigle itself into the Australian psyche.
