I liked it too!  I enjoyed Malkovich's take on Poirot.  I couldn't quite believe that twist in his personal history, though.  (Have you got to that bit yet?)

Yes, I prefer Malkovich's characterisation of Poirot rather than the usual pompous little guy. Interested to read even Christie was sick of him by 1960 and described him as " insufferable and a detestable, bombastic, tiresome, ego-centric little creep", although I wouldn't quite go that far

No, I've only seen flashbacks to what I assume is his escape from Belgium during WW1?

Yep Beecham House was a bit wishy-washy, OK for Sunday nights but makes Downton Abbey look like Chekhov!  And the dialogue was atrocious.

A bit eye-rolling really, wasn't it, but you kind of wanted to see what happens in the end. I wonder if they'll make another series?

I watched the first episode of Wild Bill and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm becoming a fan of Bronwyn James, I like her in The ABC Murders and she's excellent as DC Muriel Yeardsley, a very smart and intelligent cop who is also kind.

I quite enjoyed Wild Bill, although it didn't seem to be able to decide whether it wanted to be a comedy or a drama, as it didn't really work as a comedy/drama!  Great setting though, and I agree that Muriel was definitely the best character. I thought I'd seen her in something else, so must have been the ABC Murders.

Nearly finished The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance on Netflix.

Still not sure where this is heading, but if you are a fan of the original film - or animation in general - this is a must watch series.

More when I'm done.

Just finished the second season of Keeping Faith. Absolutely loved the whole two series, had to keep reminding myself to breathe. Love the music by Amy Wadge used throughout.
