Have your 'tastes' changed since being a member here?

I don't think my tastes have changed so much as expanded. I used to mainly read crime, but now I read many different genres.

The only genre I ever even really considered before finding this forum was horror and the odd crime fiction.

 

I since am developing a taste for historical fiction, and have read books I wouldnt have even glanced at before.

 

Infact I probably wouldnt even read if it wasnt for this place. I have read more this year than I have read in my entire life.

Me too. I find myself reading things that I wouldn't have even looked at before joining the forum.

hmm I have discovered new authors but I still tend to read the same types of books, so my tastes haven't really changed. I was thinking about this earlier actually and how I'd like to try something that I would usually dismiss but don't really know where to start.

Not really. There are only two genres I have never read due to personal taste - crime and women's fiction - so there wasn't much branching off into unknown genres for me to do; what has changed is that I'm now 100% likelier to stumble upon a book in a preferred genre I would otherwise never have heard about, and that I am truly grateful for .
