I'll read pretty much anything, including the back of cereal boxes if I am going through a dry spell!

I veer between classic literature (especially European) and more modern literary fiction. But I am not that discriminatory, if the plot grabs my attention, I'll read it!

Probably my favourite book is "The Count of Monte Cristo" by Alexandre Dumas. The best book I have read this year so far is, I think "The Hours" by Michael Cunningham.

At the moment I have two books on the go: "Stalin's Ghost" by Martin Cruz Smith (the newest installment of the Renko books) and "Veronika Decides to Die" by Paulo Coelho.

***Hi Lauren***

Love the name, Proserpino. Reminds me of Prospero in The Tempest.

Anyway, a warm welcome and don't be frightened to plunge in. Everyone is very friendly.

The Count of Monte Christo is on my TBR pile...after your comments, I'd better star it!

Look forward to reading your posts.

(By the way, have you ever reviewed a cereal box? )
