Dean Koontz - Good and Bad?

I agree with Anonymous, I love most of Deans books and I find I get sucked in to the story as part of it . strange but true

He certainly has a formula that is successful for what he does, I've read a couple but haven't been able to immerse in the worlds yet. I like his niche, it's interesting and fun but I feel I never get to know too much about the story. it's like looking through a window when it's fogged up, he's not one of my favourites to read but I'll look out for a book by him every now and then, in fact I can see 'Cold Fire' staring intently at me from a bookshelf so that one will be next.

I have read the first 70 pages of What the night knows and I was so irritated by it that I didn't finish it. After that, I never took the time to try one of his other books.

I've only read two Koontz books. Lightning which I loved and Breathless (I think that's what it was called) which I HATED. I keep seeing his books in the library so maybe I'll read another one at some point.

Watchers was his best (IMHO), but I continue to read his books waiting for him to entertain me to that same level again.

For anyone interested, Dean Koontz is apparently going to be on the Crime Thriller Club on ITV3 tomorrow night (Monday 5th October 2014) at 9pm.  It's repeated on Thursday night.

Dean Koontz is a good writer he wrote thrillers, horror, science fiction, mystery all genre books his best book was "Odd Thomas" which is also shown as a movie.
