Cheesecake so far!

First time made using a heart tin, my boyfriend will roll his eyes at it as hearts are my thing, and they are everywhere in the house! Now he has to eat a cake shaped one. :giggle2:

Made the biscuit base - a packet of milk arrowroot biscuits, blended, add melted butter, blend again. Recipe calls for putting biscuit up the side of the tin, but sometimes I leave it off and save the extra biscuit crumb for later.

While the biscuit base is chilling in the fridge for 30mins, I make the cake mix itself. It used to take me about 35 - 40mins to prep it, now its 15min. :giggle2: Thats how well I know this recipe now, is that bad or what! Cake mix is - lemon zest, fresh lemon juice, sugar, two Philadelphia cheese spreadables, 5 eggs, flour, cream.

Place in oven for 1:10mins or until cooked. With our oven it takes about 1:30mins. Then you let it cool for two hours with the oven slightly ajar for 2 hours - this stops cracks forming. Then, in the fridge over night!

Will post photos once I take it out of the tin, and I make the sauces and cut the cake. :)

Oh my gosh! A Storm of Swords is so good so far! i don't even want to put it down half the time! I managed to read 67 pages in one session, thanks to kindle and book seat. As much as I hate saying it, as I love love love some of the fantasy covers out there - like the steven erikson set i have, may have to start considering buying thicker books on Kindle from now on. :(

I can see the puppies now :D! And the cheesecake! I hope it will be delicious :), it looks like it will be!

I'm glad you're enjoying A Storm of Swords. I'm glad you're able to read more, though it's a shame if you wouldn't be able to read heavy paperbooks anymore :(.

I swear on anything, hearts were my brother's thing too.  We love hearts around here.

And if you really want to get into a Kindle, get a small Kindle Fire- you can see all your covers there (in HD color), plus you can do the immersion reading!  I really should work for Amazon :P Then again, you have an Ipad, right?  Isn't there an Amazon app?

Yeah I have the kindle app on my ipad, but prefer my kindle. Does the immersion reading work on an ipad? I should look into that.

But the Fire doesn't have the e-ink display, so some people can't read on it (I know I can read much longer using an e-ink display).

Hm.  I never noticed the difference.  I guess I shouldn't work for Amazon after all :giggle2:

Glad you're enjoying ASoS, Devi.  Best book of the series by a mile (so far)

You're right about fantasy books, especially if you're having trouble holding them - they tend to be on the MASSIVE side of things.  I think some of these authors have forgotten what an editor is, my favourites included . . .

Cake on left is mine, my mum and sister bought it for me, one on right is the cheesecake I made my boyfriend. Can tell the difference :giggle2:.

Cream, and chocolate shavings on top were a request from my boyfriend. Normally I coat it with a topping and some fruit on the side.

I am officially 30! Scary.

Oh and mines a chocolate mousse cake! Guess we know whats for breakfast, lunch and tea the next few days. :giggle2:

YUM!  Honestly, yours looks great next to the other one and I probably wouldn't have known the difference if you hadn't posted about making the cheesecake.  Happy Birthday :flowers2:

Well these are the gifts I received! It was a good afternoon. :)

I was wrecked from having my hair do e the previous night, woke up with some bad head pain. Managed to drag myself to my morning meds before collapsing back into bed to sleep till lunch time. :giggle2:

We had nandos lunch with my mum and sister, a quiet one, then I went in and had a look at the books. One of the presents was $50 to spend on what I wanted - who are we kidding though, it will be books! :giggle::D. Nothing caught my eye really though.

Didn't get to the book fair in the city yet again! I feel like I am never going to get there, i wish it was on more than one day a week.

I tried to read some more game of thrones before bed, but I ended up nodding off before getting past the first page.

So the middle minion talks, and sings to you. The blue bear has baci chocolates, and love heart shaped ones surrounding the bear. The two front are games, metro (based off actual novels) I knew I was getting as I asked for it, but infamous second son was a total surprise.

Cool pressies! Is Metro the game based on Metro 2033?

Yep indeed! The game is still called metro 2033. This one is called redux because it contains both metro 2033 and metro last light remade for ps4 - upgraded graphics etc. The second game however, is a standalone one, and only references the books.

I love your minions, Devi!    I drove behind a car yesterday that had a couple on the parcel shelf looking out of the rear windscreen, and it made me smile - a perfect antidote for road rage! :giggle2:  (Not that I had road rage, just that I can't imagine anyone driving behind that car and getting annoyed :giggle2:)

Those minions are so cute! I quite like the purple lights too. Did I see it right, is your pc door transparent? That's pretty cool.
