Fiona
I recently read Finn Family Moomintroll (and found it very good) - I used to love the cartoon series (wish it was on DVD!) and the books are so like the show. I must read more Moomins, they're so magical and weird and nice in a very natural way.
Purple Poppy
I recently found a moomintroll book when I was listing books for librarything. It had belonged to one of my children and I must admit, was not in very good shape, but it bought back lots of memories!B) Pp

Michelle
No problem, but it's generally not a good idea to link direct to images on other sites.. and they specifically have a copyright on theirs.

The Moomins I grew up with, as part of my Introduction to Finnish Culture, were animated, like cartoons. I didn't even know there's puppet Moomins. My parents even took me here when I was the size of a fire extinguisher. Wondering if its a bit much to ask for the moomins dvds for my birthday at age 20... I started getting Disney DVD's for Christmas after I turned 18, so I guess Moomins at 20 is okay. Besides, the original books are really not for the very smallest of the family. Kell
Wondering if its a bit much to ask for the moomins dvds for my birthday at age 20... I dunno - it's for 7 discs and a running time of 474 minutes, so

Weave
I have four moomin books waiting to be read and I read two last year, they are just wonderful, what's not to love about a moomin? The film 'Moomins and the Comet Chase' (Muumi ja punainen pyrstötähti ~ original title) based on the book ~ 'Comet in Moominland' was released this year in Europe (no date for the UK or USA as yet), there is a lot of famous names in the english version, Alexander Skarsgård (Eric from 'True Blood') is the voice of Moomintroll! ~ Click here for info Edited December 20, 2010 by Weave
