  1. I'm about to pop in Bones, season 5, disc 5 . David Boreanaz *swoon*
  2. Aha, Frankie! Was that the film called 'Adaptation?' I loved that one too, and Chris Cooper as always was excellent in it as well. After all, you can't go wrong with a film by Spike Jonze
  3. I'm only up to chapter 3 of Deja Dead so far, but my it's pretty gruesome! Loving the story though, so I can handle it!
  4. I'm alternating between watching election coverage on TV and listening to results on the radio I think I might sleep on the sofa tonight so I can continue watching!
  5. That's a shame, Kylie! Can I ask why the majority hated it? I think a book can only be good when it's thought-provoking!
  6. I still need to see Social Network, Mexicola, and what is Four Lions? I've not heard of it. I had Jaws on last night, which is easily in my top 15. I never get tired of it!
  7. Excellent book, Kylie! And good for you on reading more Judy Blume. I read a lot of her back in school and really enjoy her stuff . I'm only about 30 pages into Deja Dead so far, but am like it. It's funny to read the familiar names in print that I normally see on TV.
  8. Well, I'm very glad that I only paid $2.00 for a used copy of this last weekend, and didn't buy it new!
  9. Please forgive me, Chesil, I never should've tempted you! It is annoying though that the episodes can't be shown by the same schedule worldwide.
  10. Shame on you, Paula!
  11. I'm glad I'm not the only one then! It's a nice development, I agree. I wholly expect it's because of his new hairdo
  12. Yes, Kylie! I was just thinking that, how the show just keeps building and building in intensity. Talk about a major nail-biter and moments of "never saw THAT coming!!" Did you ever think that
  13. Woo congrats, Kylie!! I'm glad you liked it, and you definitely deserve something light now!
  14. Hello and welcome to BCF, Tucker! Glad you joined us . Have you ever read any of Iain Pears' cozy mysteries? They're quite unlike his other 'serious' works, but very delightful .
  15. Me too! Those mindless guys running around in hockey masks are too unpredictable!
  16. Thanks, Weave! Oooh Halloween is a scary one! I just put Jaws in .
  17. We watched 4 episodes of Bones last night, from season 5. I hadn't realized that the 100th episode was on the disc I received from Netflix, and since it's so distressing I embarassed myself by crying! I couldn't help it. Poor Booth!
  18. I finished Girl with the Dragon Tattoo this afternoon when I returned from my shopping expedition. Much to mull over, so I'll be posting my thoughts tomorrow. All in all though I'm ready and willing to read more Larsson, that's for sure! I'll be starting Deja Dead by Kathy Reichs next.
  19. I almost finished Tattoo last night in bed, had I not fallen asleep! I also read some this morning in bed but again, I was dozing off, so... I've got 60 pages left so I'll be finishing it at some point today. I have to say, and I'm not sure if I should be embarassed by this fact or not, but I didn't see the end coming. I think I read by someone on BCF that the ending was guessed early on and here I am, having no clue! It was very much a surprise, which obviously made it an excellent read .
  20. Hey there and welcome to BCF, Ann aka Perdie! Glad you joined up.
  21. Great to see you around again, Scarlette! How goes it?
  22. I watched Catch and Release late last night. It's one of my guilty pleasures, and I just need to go out and buy a copy for myself! I have a serious thing for Timothy Olyphant in that film, and even though it's not the best example of quality filmmaking, I'll watch it for him in a heartbeat .
  23. Excellent, Roland! I've not seen the stage production, but have always enjoyed the film with Shirley Maclaine. I always remember my sister had a little framed print of it too so it brings back good memories . Have fun!
  24. Wow, some excellent hauls made by so many of you! Way to go . I'm pleased to report I've gotten quite a bit of reading in the past couple of days! Finally, after having virtually no time at all. I've got about 120 pages left of Tattoo and am really getting into the story. It had a bit of a slow start for me, but now I'm fully immersed. It has had some gruesome bits, but nothing I've not read before. I'm looking forward to adding the other Larsson books to my collection one day!
  25. I'll be the odd one out and say that 'A Tale of Two Cities' is the only Dickens I've read, and would actually count it among my favorite books . I am however embarassed to say that I've not read David Copperfield or anything else by him. I've also not read any Jane Austen, although it's not for lack of trying!
