Hi Roy! Welcome
-
Hi Vicky! Welcome!
I'm quite new myself, but I like this forum so far!
-
It is not a novel at all, but I'm very tempted to buy it. Does anyone know it maybe? "The London Encyclopaedia"
-
Just one at a time. I want to be completely in the book, so another one would pull me out of it, I think...
-
Just started with "You don't have to say you love me" by Sarra Manning. It's biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig, but so far I like it, so that won't be a problem! :-)
-
Thanks for the suggestion. I had never heard of that website!
-
Started today with: "Love: a user's guide" by Clare Naylor. To be clear, it is a novel

I'm expecting my order from Amazon tomorrow. Can't wait! Such a treat everytime I get my orders from Amazon!!!

Great choice. I've also watched that movie many times. Every year or once in two years it is shown on tv. It's funny and still enjoyable after all these years.
Yes indeed!
-
"Four weddings and a funeral"... and not for the first time...
-
Thanks!
-
Started last night with "A good girl comes undone" by Polly Williams.
-
Just finished "One Minute to Midnight" by Amy Silver. I loved it so much that I hate it is finished now
-
Hi Euphrasie,
I'm new here myself and I agree with you: this looks like a great forum
Welcome!
-
Thank you!
-
I finished Be Careful What You Wish For by Alexandra Potter and have started Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella.
*7 books to go*
Confessions of a Shopaholic is a very funny read!
-
Thanks again everybody!
-
Thank you, Willoyd! It's quite a list!!! I'll check them all out! Thanks! And you're right, at the moment I'm not really reading historical novels.
-
Well, it depends on the subject really. I like to read from English Authors in English and from French authors in French, etc. But if I have to make a choice: these days I prefer reading in English.

Welcome Rose!
I hope you'll have a nice time here. Do you only read Dutch books or do you read English books as well?
Hi, I just saw you're Dutch too!
-
Hi, I'm from the Netherlands! And I've always lived there. Oh no, that's not even true. I've lived a year in France, 11 years ago already...
-
Which biographies have you read, and which did you enjoy?
I've read a lot of biographies, mostly of French Kings and Queens and other important figures from French history. The biographies I loved most, were about Marie-Antoinette.
-
That is not much to go on. Don't you remember any names? A period?
