For the studying, it was a matter of different books for different subjects / modules, so there's that.
Since then I have at times had a few books on the go, with maybe a crime thriller, a historical and a non-fiction. It meant I had somehing to read for every mood, or every situation. Some books take more concentration than others, so you would have difficulty say reading in a crowd. Other times I may only have 15 minutes so would throw myself into a read that had short chapters.
My reading mojo has been so wobbly in the past couple of years, it has been miraculous at times to have even 1 book on the go, so for me having two books that I am reading equally feels like a personal uplift. In this instance, I am reading a collection of essays on a favourite television series, and a YA book written by one of my favourite authors, so they are a couple of good reads that cover my current reading moods.
I thought I had replied. But I had not!
It actually makes sense what you were saying. And come to think of it, I do read more book then one book at once, but that would only be a fiction book combined with non-fiction. Never 2 fictions at the same time.

Reading now "confessions of a karaoke queen" by Ella Kingsley
It's fun, but I'm not entirely convinced yet...

Hi!
I was just wondering if any of you had read this novel. I still have 100 pages to go (of 555 pages) but I am really loving it. Judging by its cover I hadn't probably read it, but I'm glad I took the 'risk'.
How about you?
Any comments?

Hi!
Any fans of Made in Chelsea on this forum?
-
I'm stil reading "You don't have to say you love me" by Sarra Manning. I really love this one. I am curious to find out how it will end, but on the other side I don't want it to end... I have about 100 pages to go, but I know this one will get 5 out of 5 stars.

Welcome! There is a lot to discover on this forum. Enjoy!

I was wondering, why would anyone read more books at once? You are not going faster. So what would you say is the point of reading more books? (exept reading for school of course)

Oh, you're from Kent! I just spent my last two holidays in Kent! It is so beautiful there!!! May I ask in which area you live?

I've read almost all her Shopaholics, but the last one. That one is still on my bookshelf waiting. My most favorite of Sophie Kinsella is "Can you keep a secret". I've re read it a couple of times. It makes me laugh out loud everytime again!
I can't wait for her new novel!

Hurray! I got my order (with the London Encyclopaedia!!!) today!!! :D

I love to discover new places as well, but I don't go that far. I know France pretty well. I've been there quite a lot. I even lived there for a year.
But my newest "discovery" is England.
I had been in London and Cambridge before, but my first discovery of the country side of England was last year. Since then I've spent 2 holidays in Kent. The first one was near Dover (and a couple of days in London), the second one was near Cranbrook (and a couple of days in London). I'd love to go to England next summer, but I haven't made any reservations yet. I would love to go to London as well for a week max. But I'm not sure if I can afford it financially this year.
One of the great things of Kent is that it isn't that far from here. My son doesn't like long drives. I don't either really, so that's how I ended up in Kent last year. It is a beautiful county. It was a big surprise. I'd love to discover more of Britain!!

I went to the Isle oi Man last summer, and this year shall be visiitng the Isles of Scilly. I also have a week on Lundy to look forward to at the beginning of March. As for any other plans - I will have to see.
Oh I'd love to go to the Isles of Scilly one day!!!
I can't afford to travel anymore, but as a kid I was fortunate enough to be able to travel with my family. We often visited California, as we have family there, and also British Columbia, Idaho, Oregon, and several places around Washington state. I've also been to Washington D.C., England, and The Netherlands.
Where have you been in The Netherlands?

For me, it's always Four Weddings and a Funeral, I let my eldest son watch it recently, he nearly wet himself laughing!!
Yes, I love that film too. I actually watched it recently.

Watched The Bounty Hunter this afternoon, and didn't like it at all, but now watching The Holiday, which I've seen a million times before, and has many faults, but grows on me more every time I watch it.
I want to re watch The Holiday again too...
I can't believe you all liked the Planet of The Apes movie so much....I found it so banal and shallow, just a piece of Hollywood tripe , sorry...
I think I've seen it too, but I can't remember a thing of it. Must not have left a big impression on me...
I want to re watch a Hugh Grant movie. But I can't decide which one!

London Encyclopaedia - one of the best books I've got on London. You won't be disappointed (but, possibly, addicted!). Brilliant for dipping in and out of.
I can not wait!! I HOPE to get it by Saturday, but I fear it will be next Monday

I've finished reading Me and Mr Darcy by Alexandra Potter
And did you like it? I thought it was less funny than I expected it to be. But it was a nice read.
-
Yes, that is the one I was talking about. Thanks! I saw the price was 30 pounds (amazon), now it is 18 something. So I will order it right away!

Me and Mr Darcy by Alexandra Potter.
I've read this one too a little while ago. I was a bit disappointed with it though, but I gave it 3,5 stars (out of 5).

Just a topic to talk about travelling. Anything you want to share!
Do you like to travel? Where do you like to go? Where have you been? What place could you recommend? Are you planning a holiday?
