  1. For the studying, it was a matter of different books for different subjects / modules, so there's that.

Since then I have at times had a few books on the go, with maybe a crime thriller, a historical and a non-fiction. It meant I had somehing to read for every mood, or every situation. Some books take more concentration than others, so you would have difficulty say reading in a crowd. Other times I may only have 15 minutes so would throw myself into a read that had short chapters.

My reading mojo has been so wobbly in the past couple of years, it has been miraculous at times to have even 1 book on the go, so for me having two books that I am reading equally feels like a personal uplift. :D In this instance, I am reading a collection of essays on a favourite television series, and a YA book written by one of my favourite authors, so they are a couple of good reads that cover my current reading moods.

I thought I had replied. But I had not!

It actually makes sense what you were saying. And come to think of it, I do read more book then one book at once, but that would only be a fiction book combined with non-fiction. Never 2 fictions at the same time.

  2. I've read almost all her Shopaholics, but the last one. That one is still on my bookshelf waiting. My most favorite of Sophie Kinsella is "Can you keep a secret". I've re read it a couple of times. It makes me laugh out loud everytime again!

I can't wait for her new novel!

  3. I love to discover new places as well, but I don't go that far. I know France pretty well. I've been there quite a lot. I even lived there for a year.

But my newest "discovery" is England.

I had been in London and Cambridge before, but my first discovery of the country side of England was last year. Since then I've spent 2 holidays in Kent. The first one was near Dover (and a couple of days in London), the second one was near Cranbrook (and a couple of days in London). I'd love to go to England next summer, but I haven't made any reservations yet. I would love to go to London as well for a week max. But I'm not sure if I can afford it financially this year.

One of the great things of Kent is that it isn't that far from here. My son doesn't like long drives. I don't either really, so that's how I ended up in Kent last year. It is a beautiful county. It was a big surprise. I'd love to discover more of Britain!!

  4. I went to the Isle oi Man last summer, and this year shall be visiitng the Isles of Scilly. I also have a week on Lundy to look forward to at the beginning of March. As for any other plans - I will have to see.

Oh I'd love to go to the Isles of Scilly one day!!!

I can't afford to travel anymore, but as a kid I was fortunate enough to be able to travel with my family. We often visited California, as we have family there, and also British Columbia, Idaho, Oregon, and several places around Washington state. I've also been to Washington D.C., England, and The Netherlands.

Where have you been in The Netherlands?

  5. Watched The Bounty Hunter this afternoon, and didn't like it at all, but now watching The Holiday, which I've seen a million times before, and has many faults, but grows on me more every time I watch it.

I want to re watch The Holiday again too...

I can't believe you all liked the Planet of The Apes movie so much....I found it so banal and shallow, just a piece of Hollywood tripe , sorry...

I think I've seen it too, but I can't remember a thing of it. Must not have left a big impression on me...

I want to re watch a Hugh Grant movie. But I can't decide which one!

  6. Hi everybody!

Just a topic to talk about travelling. Anything you want to share!

Do you like to travel? Where do you like to go? Where have you been? What place could you recommend? Are you planning a holiday?
