  1. I barely look at reviews or recommendations. Mostly I take my books from the library or buy them in a bookstore, so I can flap through some pages and read the contents. That does work better than somebody saying it is a good book without telling, what it is about. And there are some bestsellers which I really didn't like, e.g. Dan Brown. I read two of his books, like almost everybody else, but I couldn't really find my way into the stories.

    Hi!

Hi Delilah, Welcome to the Book Club! I don't like the classics that much. I've tried Sherlock Holmes some time ago, but, reading a collection of the complete stories, I found every story quite the same. The crime happens, Sherlock does some mysterious research, and then tells, who did it. I have to read them separated. But, unlike you, I never suspectet the right person, as I didn't get enough information. In that, I find Doyle quite genious. How do you like Agatha Christie?

    Hello

Thanks for that warm welcome. @ Hyzenthlay: I've never read any of the Books you mentioned, and I can only guess, which you mean. InkHeart must be Tintenherz, and, shame on me, I wouldn't have been shure, Captain Blaubär is originally German, hadn't Kylie said, its from Walter Moers.

    Hello

My name is Kerstin, I'm 29 years old, from Germany. I love reading, mostly novels, travelling and Karate. I'm reading many English books, but I'm not used to talking or writing English. So please forgive me, if I sound a bit weird.
  5. Elisabeth George, What came before he shot her. You know from the beginning it would end in desaster. Yet, every score of pages you get the feeling, everything could turn out good.
