Very cold here had to put the heating on Thursday evening as it was so cold, mind you we had just got caught in a down pour as we went out for a walk which did not help. I don't think we are going to get an indian summer here this year just as well going away soon.

currently reading a box set of 4 books by Holy Greene Spring in Skiathos which I have just finished Summer in Santorini - Autumn in Crete and Winter in Rhodes. I think this will set me up nicely before I go away in two weeks time. Not going to Greece but it is setting me up for some sunshine.

Hi Madeleine I agree with what you are saying here I too felt they could have delved a bit deeper into the characters with lots of things left unsaid. But as I said I did enjoy it and would certainly read it again at some point.

Moved onto the next one in the series from Jodi Taylor Lies, Damned Lies and History and The Forgotten Summer by Carol Drinkwater.

I know we have not got the horrendous weather that some parts of the world have got but come on this is supposed to be the back end of the summer and I have just put the heating on as it has not stopped raining and it is very cold. I really feel for those who are having to leave their homes and move elsewhere because of the hurricanes. Certainly would not like to be there and living through it. My heart goes out to all those who are having to live through it.

I agree with you Nollaig the plants definitely needed the rain. Its me that does not like it. Today is very black but at least it is dry and fairly warm.

Had such a busy weekend went out shopping and have to say spent rather more that I would have liked but hey I don't go out that often. We are on holiday in four weeks time and ended up buying some more clothes for holidays. We will be the best dressed on the beach me thinks. That is said tongue in cheek.

Hi I find I read a lot easier when I put a side light on, I also wear glasses and when I changed my prescription I was getting headaches to start off with but they soon cleared up. But try the lighting to see if that works.

I am reading at work The Little Wedding Shop by the Sea by Jane Linfoot and on my phone Tapas, Carrot Cake and a Corpse by Sherri Bryan both I am enjoying

I have nearly finished this as well have enjoyed it so far

into the 90's. It has made it so much easier now that I make a list of the books as I am reading them. That is really good going for me.

Downloaded quite a few free books from amazon over the weekend. I also bought the next four books in the Chronicles of St Marys books series. Ok now is not the time to not want to read anything.

What a truly wonderful weekend that was considering it was a bank holiday. It was a scorcher, not going to say it was too hot because that would be so silly. Back to raining today oh well that is more like what we are used to. It is summer after all.

That confused me only 7 episodes. Will now have to catch up and the last two seasons.

A long weekend and I hardly read anything, seem to have slowed down on my reading for some reason, cannot say I am doing anything else to replace it. It had to happen I suppose.
