  1. I have never known it so cold here in the midlands. We have had to have the heating on all the time day and night. This morning took hubby a long time to defrost the car he said the ice was rock solid. Roll on summer.
  2. To end the year of 2016 I managed to watch a couple of films The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and The Bells of St Marys.
  3. I am starting the year off by reading Alfie and George by Rachel Wells. On our big sort out last week I have put to one side all the books I have not read and I have concluded if I read one book a week I will not need to buy another book for 2 years. And we all know that is not going to happen. I love buying books. Sorry had to edit this comment. I totally forgot all about my kindle books which are too numerous to mention. In between writing this post I have downloaded three new free books from Kindle.
  4. Spectre is my next film to watch
  5. Last week we had such mild weather, then last night happened it was so cold and we had such thick fog, it was still around when driving into work today and could not see a thing. The fog has lifted now but hope it stays away.
  6. Although I had been championing Louise throughout the series I too thought Ore and Joanne deserved to win. I loved watching Louise and Kevin dancing but just felt there was something missing but don't know what. It was a busy weekend for Ore as he was at the Sports personality of the year the day after. Bet he is looking forward to a rest.
  7. I have been reading the Beach Café novels by Lucy Diamond, read over the weekend A Baby at the Beach Café which was an easy read. Also reading on my phone The Blackmore sisters three novels by Leighann Dobbs read Dead Wrong and half way through Dead and Buried with Dead Tide to follow. Brought into read at work Cold Feet at Christmas by Debbie Johnson. I have got that many Christmas books still to go through think I will be reading them well into January.
  8. Quidditch through the Ages - JK Rowling
  9. My heart was in my mouth when Oti did that jump, I think I may have even squealed. She was very brave.
  10. I was so disappointed with the result. Wished they all could have been in this Saturdays show for the final.
  11. I'm looking forward to watching this programme Madeleine, as you say I am reading the Jodi Taylors books.
  12. Virginia we don't realise how our body reacts to doing the same thing or motion over a period of time. Working at Amazon i'm not surprised your arms and hands hurt. Hubby has worked in retail all his life and he is paying for it now with problems with his arms, hands and legs.
  13. Finally got round to watching Star Wars the Force Awakens. Funny how you see so many trailers for films you think you know what is going to happen. Was not prepared for what did, not saying too much in case others have not watched it and will do so in the future. Did enjoy it though.
  14. I know December is the same for everyone, so much to do and so little time to do It in. So why am I not doing much at all. Hubby is the same and as we only have ourselves to sort out it doesent really matter. I even missed Father Christmas coming round on Sunday evening, I did not hear anyone knock on the door and did not even hear the Christmas music til he was well passed. Was sad for all of 2 seconds, so hubby knows I am not feeling it this year.
  15. Did a bit of reading over the weekend even if it was from a few different books. Finished Dashing through the Snow - Debbie Macomber. Moved on to a Cornish Christmas - Lily Graham. Also reading Me Before You - JoJo Moyes loving this one.
  16. I am so pleased to hear that you are finding chocolate sickly as well, I thought it was just me. Sorry don't mean that how it sounds. I only have to have a couple of bites of a bar of chocolate and I start coughing. Never used to.
  17. it looks like a lot of us have got the Miniaturist in our to be read pile. don't think I will get round to this until well into next year now. Working my way through Christmas books onto Twelve Days of Christmas by Debbie Macomber now, it is such an easy read which I like.
  18. I think the right person went this week as well, he is such a gentleman though and I do like to watch him progressing as he takes it all in. Ore I hope goes next week I would love to see Claudia in the final with Louise. Louise I thought enjoyed herself so much this week. Two dances next week I think this will test them.
  19. Sorry timebug I should have said an author I had never heard of before.
  20. Every Woman for herself - Trisha Ashley
