Jane smiled and Melody saw her eyes fill up with tears. "Thank you," she said, "thank you." They hugged across the table, Jane's sleeves hanging in the sugar bowl, Melody's face buried in her mother's soft shoulder and Melody felt safe for the first time since she was three years old. - The Truth About Melody Browne by Lisa Jewell -
I'm subscribed to art of Crochet and I only read them when I need to see what I have to do to. I get Cosmopolitan now and again and maybe some other women magazines depends on my mood. I use to get Xbox and Nintendo magazines. I normally get a couple of craft magazines every 3/4 months.

Last time I was on here I was reading Afterlife by Claudia Gray. I finished that book at the start of this month. So I started reading The Truth About Melody Browne by Lisa Jewell, got free from cosmopolitan magazine. So I thought I'll read it, plus I wanted a change from the fantasy books. -

Started reading Afterlife by Claudia Gray -
Most times it depends on my mood and if I can be bothered to pick up another book to read. sometimes I feel like I have read for ages so I feel I need a few hours or a few days break, but most times I either get onto the next book I wanted to read straight away or wait for few hours to let what I just read sink in if its that good. Plus I don't like have more than one book on the go, I use to when I was like 7 till about 9 I use to get books from the library all 8 at one time I get a mixture of 200 pages long or 50 pages long and I would normally read about 2 or three in a day and take them back to get more books out, but now I feel to involve in the book, its like a movie but better, I won't watch half movie then move onto another movie and watch the for half an hour and then go back to the first movie, I like to see a movie straight though like a book so I won't get mixed up with the characters and stories.

" "You!" Balthazar said. "She was after you." "Lucas?" Kate stepped forward in alarm. "Why do they want my son?" " - Hourglass by Claudia Gray I haven't got to that bit yet of the book, but now just reading that bit makes me wanna read to find out whats going on. -
I haven't thought about re-reading a book straight away after I finished book, but a couple of months or years down the line I've felt I wanna read that book again just to refresh my memory of the story, but I never do because I have a load of other books that I haven't read yet and I wanna read them.

Do many of your friends or family read?
Punkafoo replied to Habeebi's topic in General Book Discussions
My dad don't read, my brother would read a book once in a blue moon, my mom she will read a book now and again, but not often, however my nan (mom's mom) always reads she reads a couple of chapters a night of the book she is reading at the time, also most of her friends read books. My other half don't read books. As far as I'm aware my dad's side of the family don't read either, I get most of my interests from my mom's mom. -

Which is the best book in the Chronicles of Narnia?
Punkafoo replied to Kell's topic in Children's / Young Adult
I've only read The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, and never read the others so I can't compare them and say which ones I like, but what I liked about The Lion, The Witch and The wardrobe was the whole fantasy world, through the wardrobe, just like the way another world is at the end of the wardrobe, could be any world and it still would have captured me. But to be honest I can not remember much about it as it was ages ago since I've read it. -
Having the smallest bedroom in my household, I have a few books on my two shelves which consists of my favorite books or books that needs to be read, then I have some in my cupboard, that I should really sort out, lately I have started putting some in a storage box that I have currently read for when I get my own house to start my own library.
