  1. Have a great reading year in 2018. I read Thin Air last year and enjoyed it. Not quite as much as Dark Matter, but it was still pretty good.
  2. Have a great reading year, Andrea. I have the Sarah Millican book on my TBR list, so I'm glad you have given it a good review.
  3. Have a great reading year in 2018, Willoyd. I enjoyed your review of I Am Pilgrim immensely.
  4. Have a great reading year, Brian. I hope War & Peace goes well for you. It's one of those books that I vaguely intend to read, but it's just too intimidating to start.
  5. Have a great reading year, Gaia!
  6. Have a great reading year, Muggle Not. I'm glad you enjoyed Sleeping Beauties. I couldn't finish it; it just seemed to drag on.
  7. I keep meaning to start this. It's been on my Netflix List for ages.
  8. Have a great reading year in 2018, Little Pixie!. I'm flattered that you have my recommendations on your thread. Hope you enjoy them as much as I did! And congrats on reading so many books so far!!

  13. Happy reading in 2018, Alexander. I'm another fan of Misery, both the book and the movie.
  14. Happy reading in 2018, Ian. Shame about Children of Men, as it's a book I've had high hopes for.
  15. Happy reading in 2018, Kylie! You have so many books to keep you busy! Helter Skelter is a brilliant read, isn't it?
  16. Have a great reading year in 2018, Janet! Sounds like you are making a good start to it.
  17. Have a great reading year in 2018!
  18. Terrible! Last night it took me 6 hours to get home from work, and I only work 7 miles away. I didn't get home until 8pm, and ended up having to abandon my car on the seafront when it got stuck in the snow.
  19. Oh, I forgot there are new Kindle deals. I shall check them out immediately!
  20. "...one of use will die..." I wasn't a big fan of Empire of the Sun. I struggled to finish it (and I also had to read it when I was in school), but I hope you enjoy it more than I did.
  21. Hope you have a great reading year, Michelle. And good luck with the studies. I know how difficult it is to balance studying with full time working! I see you've read Why We Sleep. I bought it earlier in the month (Kindle Daily Deal), and thought it would be interesting as I always feel behind in sleep (even when I get 8 hours)!
  22. I read I Am Pilgrim a couple of years ago and loved it. I decided to give it a re-read a couple of weeks ago, and I couldn't finish it. I read the first quarter, then started skimming and just eventually gave up. So strange how I enjoyed it so much on the first read (to the point where I even recommended it to loads of people!) but just couldn't even finish it the second time around. And it's not because I knew how it ended - I had forgotten the finer details. I just thought it was a pretty poorly written book this time around.
  23. I hope you have a great reading year in 2018!
