  1. I'm interested in the new Kindle 3... I just hope the ebook price aren't more expensive than paperback copies!!!
  2. Hello Shelly! Hope you love it as much as I do here. I'm addicted already!
  3. is going shopping this morning, and have then got my first band rehearsal tonight. Absolutely papping my pants!!!

  4. Welcome Jed! The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo... Good choice
  5. I love this chilli con carne recipe. It's cheap to make, and low cal at only 387 cals per serving. I make it as per the recipe, except I don't add the chocolate, and I add a lot more chilli powder and paprika and cumin. It tastes delicious! Very nice over a plate of brown rice. http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/3228/chilli-con-carne
  6. Hmmm strange, I've never noticed this before. I have to say though, once you are cooking the mince, I LOVE the smell. Does that make me weird hahaa? But I can't say I've ever noticed a strong odour whilst it's still in the packet... I will investigate further next time I have mince
  7. You have Mr Rossi as your avatar! I absolutely love him, and I'm so impressed by how quick he returned to racing after fracturing his leg! Back on topic (sorry guys), here's some links from me. The cutest panda ever: This always makes me chuckle: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0LT6Ui5-VGk
  8. Welcome Maja! What are some of your favourite books?
  9. I second The Host and The Book Thief. I'm currently just over halfway through The Book Thief and absolutely love it, and I just bought The Host the other day.
  10. Woke up at 3.15am. Checked my bank online to see how much I got paid today, saw how low my wage for the month was, and then stayed up for about 50 pages worth of The Book Thief. I'm on around page 300 out of 550. Hope to get it finished this weekend.
  11. Just made a turkey salad. Was delicious.
  12. This. One of my all time favourite films.
  13. Welcome! Trust me, they're very good, and it'll be difficult for you to put them down. I just bought The Host yesterday, looking forward to reading it, but got a lot to get through from my "to read" pile!!!
  14. Wow so many welcomes Thanks!
  15. I'm about halfway through and have to say it's one of the best books I've read in years!
  16. Read about more of The Book Thief this morning. I'm almost halfway through. Purchased The Da Vinci Code and The Host today. And next I plan on reading Flu by Wayne Simmons.
  17. Totally agree. The Japanese are really good at scaring us when it comes to films. The Japanese version of The Ring is pretty creepy as well (at least I think it's Japanese), but I have to say I actually prefer the American remake.
  18. The only thing I can suggest is calorie counting. That's really all it comes down to in most cases. And everyone is allowed a treat now again, just don't go OTT. Reducing your calorie intake, and upping your exercise, even if it's just a walk for an hour a day, can really wonders.
  19. Thanks for the welcomes Actually, I hate my job! But I love the people. I work in a hotel, pretty much helping out in nearly every department, which sucks. I work roughly 35 hours per week, and as it's quite a physical job, I'm permanantly tired. But it pays. I just hate having to run around all the time. I get the crappy jobs that no one else wants to do. But the people I work with are ace, so that kind of makes up for the job being so rubbish. At the moment, I'm so used to working so much, that on my days off, I don't know what do with myself! And even on my days off, if they need me, I go in. Which is stupid on my part, but I have a laugh at the same time, so can't stay away! Pity I don't get the recognition I feel I deserve Anyway, thanks again for the welcomes I'm planning on really knuckling down and getting some reading done, in fact I just purchased 2 more today. The Da Vinci Code, and The Host (Sorry, I have to say I'm a bit of a Twilight fan. Not OTT, but I do like it. So thought I'd check out the author's other books). Expect to see more of me!

    MotoGP

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I just had to post and say MotoGP is my favourite sport of all time. Valentino Rossi is my hero, and for him to be back on a bike and on the podium in Leguna Seca so soon after breaking his leg, is remarkable. He truly is the greatest of all time. The Doctor is back!!!
  21. Oh yes me too. And at the moment, the pretty wet England!
  22. Amazing book. Almost had me in tears!
  23. I lost 2 stone in around 8 months... And I didn't even restrict any food. I started a new job, which is quite physical, and I found myself running around pretty much all day. It kind of just dropped off and I didn't even realise until I noticed that a shirt someone bought me for my birthday in January, literally hung off me in March. It was quite a surprise. I am now 5'6" and weigh 114 pounds. I think I need to work on getting the weight back on. But I honestly forget to eat at work because I am so busy all day.
  24. 18 Birthday's on the 1st January.
