  1. Two books I ordered arrived today. The Book of Flying by Keith Miller Her Fearful Symmetry by Audrey Niffenegger
  2. Unfortunately, my bookshelf doesn't grow. Just the amount of books. Just saying.
  3. "Rois kept bringing me things to cheer me up-some of them walked, I recall. A caterpillar once, and a beetle with bright wings. A hummingbird's egg." Winter Rose by Patricia McKillip
  4. I will be reading Gone With The Wind next as well! It will be interesting to hear your thoughts on it.
  5. More than half done with Change of Heart by Jodi Picoult. I kind of know where it is going, but I am still enjoying it, nonetheless.
  6. Ach! I just rearranged by bookshelves to make more room. But I don't like the rearrangement at all. *sigh*
  7. Do I really want to know the answer to that?
  8. Almost half way through Change of Heart by Jodi Picoult and it is excellent so far.
  9. Me, neither. I just purchased one today, I have two in the mail yet to be delivered, and in a few weeks Ray Bradbury has a book of short stories being released in paperback that I have pre-ordered. It's all amazon.com's fault. They have everything I am looking for. Evil tempters.
  10. I am looking forward to reading it, I loved Emotional Geology that much. I have so much to read, though, so I may put it off for awhile.
  11. Isn't that your glass?
  12. I am never quite sure what is considered Victorian literature. But how about Great Expectations by Charles Dickens or Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte? They are both excellent, short reads and I think they fall under the category.
  13. A Lifetime Burning by Linda Gillard arrived in the mail today from the UK. And it was in very good condition as described. *sigh of relief*
  14. What are we playing?
  15. I have, but only twice. Never have I ever been arrested.
  16. Hmmm, I think you should go with Lavinia. I love Ursula LeGuin, but that is one I haven't read.
  17. Oh, please do. I just ordered a book I saw you recommend to someone in another thread. The Book of Flying by Keith Miller. It looked to be excellent!
  18. I thought the same thing about Life of Pi.
  19. I would send you the book for just the cost of shipping, but since you are on the other side of the pond from me, I doubt you would want to pay for even that. I haven't read Frankenstein yet, but it's in my TBR pile.
  20. All right. I'm done with Intensity. I just can't take the lack of logic anymore. Sometimes Koontz works for me. This was not one of those times. I am going to start on Change of Heart by Jodi Picoult.
  21. I think that is the problem, though. This isn't meant to be a funny book. At least, I don't think so.
  22. I am about 83 pages into Intensity by Dean Koontz and I am finding it rather silly. Does anyone know if this gets any better?
  23. Roller coaster Sweating or chill bumps?
