  8. For 16 years I had a lease car from my employers and they were renewed every four years, that was nice. Now I am retired I am down to a 2003 Ford Fieata, 1.4 deluxe, silver. Does the job though gets me from A-B. Had it eight and a bit months and only done just over 1000 miles, so very small mileage user lol.
  9. Michelle says it all in her great review, A great read and another winner from Sam. I did n't want to put it down. I highly recommend it. Sam is one of my favourie authors.
  10. I must be a bit thick as I never saw her losing the baby at all. Good endings but space left to continue the stories. Bring on the next series. Think it is great.
  11. I also think Lewis has no chance unless something happens that takes the other three out , but thats highly unlikely. I also think Alonso is arrogant and he thinks the whole championship should revolve around him. I think Vettel is showing signs of this too. Webber is the one I will be shouting for and I hope the team do the right thing for him on Sunday. Good luck Webber you will deserve to be Champion.
  12. monday monday...Mamas and Papas
  13. No I did n't know. I will look forward to that and no doubt watch them all again
  14. Yes I have loved it too. Reminds me of 'Upstairs, Downstairs' that I watched every episode of, when I was many many years younger. Maggie Smith is fantastic. Will miss it Sunday nights but I am pleased to see it will be returning.
  15. Good Vibrations----Beach Boys
  16. Good Day Sunshine-----The Beatles
  17. I agree as well. The right one was fired.
  18. River Deep, Mountain High........Ike and Tina Turner
  19. Ok I have my Kindle. Michelle charged it up for me and registered it on my previously set up account with Amazon, showed me how to download books and I was away. I used it last night for my reading in bed and I love it. Can change text size with ease. Its lightweight to hold and very easy to read in all types of light. If you are thinking of buying one...go for it, I don't think you will regret it. I invested in a case to keep it clean and scratch free and would recommend this, but they are much cheaper elsewhere than on Amazon. Believe me if I can use it anyone can.
  20. Loving watching Strictly, I thoroughly enjoy it. Ann Widdicome makes me laugh every time with her back chat to the judges. As an oldie I am enjoying watching Pamela Stephenson and Felicity Kendle but don't think they will win. But so admire their fitness and efforts. My guess is that Scott Maslan will get very close and may well win. As yet I have no favourites, just enjoying the whole show.
  21. Ok Pickle will do. I havent much technical savvy either and often phone Michelle because I got myself in a mess with my phone or computer. If I can manage it ok then your Mum should be able to.
  22. Michelle and I have just ordered a Kindle each and are waiting their arrival. Unfortunately we are not able to afford I-Pads so hopefully the Kindle will meet our needs. I have a little arthritis in my thumbs and find a book quite difficult to hold come the evening, coupled with an eye condition that gets worse as the day goes on for reading, I am hoping that the Kindle will restore my bed-time reading. It will be much lighter to hold and you can enhance the text size. . It will also be easier to slip in my bag when I go out and about. Anyway once I have got it and its up and running I will let you know what its like and whether it meets my expectations. I will still read my proper books at home during the day. The Kindle will not be a substitute for paper books but just a help to my reading habits.

    Anyone Else Golf?

I don't play golf but enjoy watching it very much. What a mesmerising Ryder cup, had me on the edge of the chair. Well done to Europe what a close finish that was. Fantastic.
