  1. I read a couple of pages of Hemingway's The Sun Also Rises while having breakfast this morning. I'm intending to finish a non-fiction book called the Future of Music later today, but it seems to be a busy day after all, so we'll see about that.
  2. I just started reading Hemingway's A Moveable Feast. I've had it in my bookshelf for quite a while already, but I've been buried by books to read lately. I've read the first couple of chapters now.
  3. Oasis: Definitely Maybe I Walk the Line: Language of the Lost the Darkness: Permission to land All for 10 euros from a cute little shop that sells used records.
  4. Oh my, I love this topic and all the awesome music in it. : D We've been planning on a party like this, too - though we'd have a separate parties for the 80's and 90's. I don't really have much to add, can't get my brain working properly at the moment. All the must haves have been said already, I think. Though... Mc Hammer's U Can't Touch This will surely make a great addition to the collection, haha. And hey, Suede is my favourite of the 90's brit pop.
  5. Sin City happened to be on tv a couple of nights ago. Sweet, I've been planning on watching this one again for a while. Seeing the film again reminded me of how much I like it. I just love the way they've managed to bring Miller's graphic novels to life, Sin City is visually great as this film, too. Ah. I think I'm going to buy this one on dvd when I have some extra money to spend.
  6. Kate Bush: King of the Mountain Just pressed the play button to listen to this cd again. Autumn must be coming, listening to this type of great music indicates that.
  7. Adam Lambert: If I Had You Gotta admit, I think I'm hooked on Lambert. This isn't something I usually listen to, hehe.
  8. I visited the library today, now I've got a big pile of books to read, yay. Out of those I just started reading Sexus by Henry Miller. I also read some chapters of a non-fiction book about music biz, yet again.
  9. Shadow of the Wind was recommended to me by a person whose taste I pretty much can rely on. She almost forced me to read the book, I was slightly hesitant at first because I tend to have doubts about books that get so much praising as this one has got. And especially from people who usually enjoy easy reads and look only for entertainment in the books they read. I, then, usually want some more, something that makes me think, gives me some new information, really moves me and so on. I'd categorize Shadow of the Wind as pure entertainment, but it sure was damn good entertainment. I especially love Zaf
  10. I've been reading Jan Guillou's Ondskan today. I'm getting kind of hooked on it, I might finish it later today. I was also thinking about checking out some flea marrkets on my way downtown, I'd like to buy some books with the coins I have left from the fun times of this weekend...
  11. Some CSI, even though it's probably CSI Miami that's on today. CSI Miami is actually a bit funny at times, probably not intentionally though, haha. Then I'll most likely watch just about anything that's on till I fall asleep, I'm tired but my thoughts are a mess so I'm going to let the TV kill them.
  12. Indeed, very nice mix of fantasy kind of elements and realism. I liked Brida, too. I got it as a present last Christmas and read it pretty fast. Like said, it's an easy read, very enjoyable. Still it gave me something to think about, the themes kind of touched me. And hey, I've always been secretly into all that magic and witchcraft stuff, so no wonder I liked the book.
  13. LA Ink. It's annoying to watch those happy people with their brand new tatts because I'm not one of them. Plainly because I just can't decide what to get next. Hah.
  14. I've been reading a bit of this and that while waiting for this and that here and there. It's been a funny day indeed. Anyway, the book I've made most progress in is in Finnish only, about music biz and especially the role of the management. Then I finished Slowness by Milan Kundera (loved it) and now I'm trying to decide which one to pick up next: Kerouac's On the road or some Guillou... Or maybe even Ewan. Hm.
  15. I've been reading some educational stuff today, the book I have to read for my entrance exam later this spring. Later I'm going to pick up something easier to read, I'd have American Psycho by Ellis waiting for me...
  16. Besides this LA Ink I'm currently watching I'm gonna watch some CSI and after that probably just about anything. Meh. Boring night.
  17. LA Ink. Yay, for once I'm at home on a Friday night.
  18. Chocolate and some coke. This has been such a lazy and unhealthy day! I'm gonna be full of energy tomorrow, which is the positive thing about this...
  19. American Idol. I've been just watching TV the whole day, I just got a TV after being without one for about year and a half, hehe.
  20. There the answer already is: I read very different books at the same time, like I mentioned earlier. I usually have something "heavy" on the go, something educational, non-fiction, you know, and I need something that's more fun, just for the balance. Non-fiction stuff isn't always that relaxing to read, but the fiction is, so... And I'm always like that, I have a lot of things going on, just because I can do that, I can concentrate on many things at the same time, and kind of need that, too. I guess I'm easily bored
  21. I've been reading some 100 pages of Bret Easton Ellis' The Rules of Attraction. I've liked it so far, really. I'm about half done with it, so let's see if the second half is as interesting.
  22. Tofu and vegetables. The sauce for the tofu tastes promisingly good and the fresh veggies... Ah, I love cooking.
  23. Finished Kerouac's Lonesome traveler and liked it. :-) I also started reading a book for the entrance exam that awaits ahead. I think I'm going to get started with something else tonight, too. I have a pile of books awaiting.
