140 pages left In The Way of Kings, by far the longest book I ever read. 1000 pages!
-
Today I sucessfully went in to at least 4 book shops and I cam out with zero books! I saw at least ten that I wanted and that I've been looking for but I knew I had books on the way (a bit annoyed that they are not here yet) and like 50 to read so buying more would just be stupid. I'm still working my way through The Way of Kings, I'm past pages 500 at least only 500 more to go! It's a great book I can even say one of the best I've ever read so it not torture. But 1000 pages is a lot for one book.

I truly hope your family is doing okay. My thought go to all of you who has family or live in the area. Living so far away I feel I want to do something to help and I found this if anyone feels like doing something even though we do not live there and can help on location. http://www.qld.gov.au/floods/donate.html

I am reading the Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson at the moment. It is over a 1000 pages so it's gonna take me a while. Now I am not a fantasy reader per say, I mean I've read Harry Potter and a few others books but it has not been a genre that I've typically been drawn to. But after about 3 chapters of this book I declared to be the best book I have ever read! I love is language and the story. I can really recommend this book! I post a review when I'm done. I also saw that you had a joe abercrombie book on your TBR list. Have you read The Blade Itself? My boyfriend bought this a while ago and been thinking about reading it but I haven't heard much about it. Happy Reading!
-
I had my first reading log last year and I really liked it. Looking forward to reading yours! Don't be afraid to post your TBR list, there are very few people here that has a short one. ;-)

Sign me up!! I've also decided to get healthy this year, and all of you are such an inspiration. I can't afford going to a gym either but I have a cross trainer at home and hopefully will begin exercising soon. I spend the first week of this new year with a splitting head ache trying get lose my sugar addiction. Anyone else that have one of those ?? Well it's almost passed now but tomorrow wont help, I'm celebrating my boyfriend and his little brothers birthday and there will be cake. But I've been doing good other wise I think. I don't have a scale and will only go by how my clothes fit, the umbers tend to make me depressed and that leads to eating and..well you get the picture. I also have made a promise to my self that when I eat that will be the only thing I'm doing, that means no TV, no computer or *gasp* book. This year I will enjoy food. And also I think I will participate on the 1 pound 1 book challenge but dare I raise the stakes and say 2 pound 1 book!? Wait that won't work since I don't have a scale...I'll have to think about that one.

I did it again, I bought some books even though I shouldn't. But I really wanted Mockingjay to see how the story ends and then I found the god delusion really cheap and I've been wanting to read it for a while and then I bought one book for my boyfriend so he wouldn't get mad at me for buying more books...:-p I think I have a problem.

I have both of these books on my TBR list and I've been putting of reading them forever. Perhaps I should put them even further back... I want to read some classics but sometimes I get the feel that they are overrated. You have some awesome books on your list, please let me know what you think of the Ray Bradbury once! I've been wanting to read the forever but had not had the time nor resources t buy them. I am gonna but The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins though cause I've been wanting that one forever. I loved the Count of Monte Cristo, you should really read that one! I hope you have a great year of reading!!
-
I absolutely LOVED the Virginia Andrews books when I was younger I hope you will enjoy them. They are a little bit creepy I would say but very addictive. I have these two on my TBR list as well and I'm really looking forward to reading To kill a mockingbird since I've only heard good things about it. Please let me know what you think! I've seen the movie Angels and Demons so I keep putting of reading it since I still remember what happens. Happy reading!
-
The Sieg Larsson books are really good, the first one is really slow in the beginning so stick with it and it will pick up around 200 pages in I think. I really wanna read Life of Pi but I've never gotten around to it. I hope you enjoy it!

An Abundance of Katherines Synopsis: When it comes to relationships, Colin Singleton’s type is girls named Katherine. And when it comes to girls named Katherine, Colin is always getting dumped. Nineteen times, to be exact. On a road trip miles from home, this anagram-happy, washedup child prodigy has ten thousand dollars in his pocket, a bloodthirsty feral hog on his trail, and an overweight, Judge Judy–loving best friend riding shotgun—but no Katherines. Colin is on a mission to prove The Theorem of Underlying Katherine Predictability, which he hopes will predict the future of any relationship, avenge Dumpees everywhere, and finally win him the girl. Love, friendship, and a dead Austro-Hungarian archduke add up to surprising and heart-changing conclusions in this ingeniously layered comic novel about reinventing oneself. Review: Oh John Green how can anyone not like your books? This was such a pleasant read and a great way to start the year.I will be honest I probably would never have read any of his books or eve heard about John Green if it had not been for the excellent youtube-series(show??) called Vlogbrothers in which he an his brother Hank makes videos enlightening the world with funny facts, brilliant songs, touching moments and of course a whole lot of nerdfighting. Anyway this book is funny, had great characters, some really interesting facts and a slow but heart-warming storyline. Greens books are not action packed if you don't count that mathematical action that is going on in this book. But they are "heart packed" and they make you think and remember you teen age years. As usual his descriptions are wonderful, the characters are flawed and human. Although I thoroughly enjoyed this book I still think Looking for Alaska was one notch better since this one was a bit more predictable. But still if you have it read it! I give it 4/5

Thank you Kylie! You too, your list are amazing and you will most definitely have a great year of reading I hope to get a bit more organized this year and take the time to read. I also hope to not buy to many books since I have a lot and have declared war on my TBR-list

-
Haha I'll better watch out then. But that's the one I want the most I think, it's just so pretty! I still have a little while to decide so let me know when you get yours how you like it!
-
So I actually found a way to buy one of these from Sweden and now comes the tricky part, I have to pick one! Any recommendations? I'm choosing between these once: Moleskine Book Journal My Bibliofile A book lovers Diary I saw some of you had these, do you like them? Please help!

I read the book when I was in my teens, and I remember loving it. I have planned to re-read it at some point if I can find it again. Blume has a way of writing about young people in a way I think you can easily relate to.

Gulliver's Travels: Part 1 and 2 by Jonathan Swift Synopsis(Barnes and Noble):Considered the greatest satire ever written in English, Jonathan Swift s Gulliver s Travels chronicles the fantastic voyages of Lemuel Gulliver, principally to four marvelous realms: Lilliput, where the people are six inches tall; Brobdingnag, a land inhabited by giants; Laputa, a wondrous flying island; and a country where the Houyhnhnms, a race of intelligent horses, are served by savage humanoid creatures called Yahoos. Review: The version of the book I got a hold of contained Gullivers first two journeys, the one to Lilliput and to Brobdingnag. It was a quick read and easy read and I did enjoy it more than I thought I would. I for some reason always seem to struggle with classics. When everyone else raves about them I normally find the a bit boring but this was not the case with Gullivers travels. It felt sort of like a fairy tale for adults. The language was great and I found the description of the different people interesting. My one issue was the synopsis at the beginning of each chapter which basically gave the plot away, but I suppose you can just opt not to read that part. A surprisingly enjoyable book. I give it: 3/5

The Host is really an excellent book. I'm not a big fan of the Twilight-series although I read them all....:-p But The Host is different I really did like it more then I expected to.
