  1. Been cleaning like an idiot since yesterday. Moms coming over and I'm sure she'll find something I've missed. It's not normal being nrevous about inviting your mom over is it?

  2. I'm back I think. I just finished Paper Towns which is the first book I managed to pick up and read since the beginning of February. It was a great book like everything else by John Green. I'll try to get it together now and hope my mojo comes back.
  3. So I fell of the wagon...Yep that was what that big thud was. I didn't want to weigh my self because I was scared of the numbers. Why is it so scary? It just felt like I know I've been treating my self like crap and I don't want to face just how bad it is. Well about two weeks ago I decided to face my fear and take responsibility, cause honestly nobody has been force feeding me all that junk, I did it all by myself. It wasn't as bad as I thought I had gained the kilos I had lost this summer but not more and it wasn't as much as it had been. I didn't believe it at first cause I felt bigger then I had ever felt. But after testing all three scales at my parents house I came to the conclusion that it must be correct. So Monday last week my lovely OH said we should try the Dukan diet. I said no because well I'm honestly sick and tired of all these fad diets. But he told me just two weeks, if it works great you've lost some weight and then you can do whatever, if it doesn't then at least you will have lost the sugar addiction (normally takes about two weeks for me before the cravings stops). So we did, and no it's 1,5 weeks later and I've lost 2,5 kilos and he's lost more then 5 I think! Yes it water weight to some extent but it feels great and it wasn't that hard and my stomach is not sticking out. I'm not gonna stick with it for life but I think I'll try another two weeks just to get a head start. :-)
  4. Thank you Frankie! I'm sure I'll manage to fill the sooner or later. Right now I'm just trying to read the once that are already on it! And speaking of that, I've been good and haven't bought any books lately but now comes the annual Swedish book sale and who can resist it?? Books for lie 2 € on Adlibris and I just love browsing the stores this time of year. Well I don't really have any money to buy anything, I need to find a job!! But I'm sure I'll stop buy a few stores just to look. As for the actual reading I've been so bad this month. I had a bit of a family crisis when both my parents got sick and I had trouble concentrating on anything. They are both better now thank god, so hopefully life will return to normal.
  5. I have a question, perhaps someone already answered this one but were does the list come from? I've seen two version, one is only 120 books and one that is around 340 books. Everyone is doing so good with Everything is Illuminated, I'm stuck and just can't seem to get into it. :-(
  6. Synopsis: This is a beguiling story of happiness and hope, of the joys of companionship, domestic harmony and infinite mother love, all seen through the life of the March family. But which of the four March sisters to love best? For every reader must have their favorite. Independent, tomboyish Jo; delicate, loving Beth; pretty, kind Meg, or precocious and beautiful Amy, the baby of the family? Review: I'll probably be hanged for this but I tried so hard to like this one but I really didn't. They just tried to be so good and gracious all the time. Every time they felt something like anger, jealousy or want for something that wasn't an essential they felt bad and it annoyed me. I know I'm supposed to love it for the amazing story of love between sisters and a wonderful caring mother but I just don't see the charm. There were some moments I enjoyed especially the Jo/Laurie dynamic but that was about it. This was just the first part which ended just after Meg got engaged so maybe the second part is better I don't know. I'll probably not pick I up any time soon. I give it: 2/5
  7. I heard it will be 10 books as well! But I haven't really waited for something since Harry Potter so I guess I'll hang in there. You MUST read The name of the wind, Rothfuss is such a brilliant writer. And if you like it you won't have to wait that long cause the next one come out I March and it's going to be 994 pages! After that you'll have to wait though cause he is not a fast writer, the first one took 7 years and the second almost 4 I think. I do how you enjoy it!
  8. Oh you read it! have to agree with everything you say, the books is absolutely amazing. It's been a few weeks since I finished it and I still think about every now and then. I do hope we get to meet the main characters in the ext book!
  9. Merlin marathon on the Boxee Box :-)

  10. Omg congratulations!!! I wish you all the best!!
  11. Hihi I have to say like a lot of you up there, I'm dating one
  12. Yay give it ago! I just found your blog and I really like it. I'm tempted to start all of your challenges but I will restrain my self. I have the Rory one and the 1001 book challenge in a excel file. Those will do for now. Is that 100 book from BBC - the big read? I think I recognize it.
  13. Thank you, love that overview! I think I'll add the first couple of books to my wish list!
  14. First I really like your reviews! Room sounds very good I think I might have to add it to the wish list. The same goes for the girl in the light house, I loved V.C Andres when I was younger so this would probably be good one.
  15. Love your lists, you are so organized! Looking forward to hearing what you think of I am number four if you decided to read it. I just saw the trailer for the movie and it looks intriguing. I also think I might have to add Watchmen to my TBR list. It's my boyfriends book but I've seen a couple of people here reading and praising it. I seriously doubt that my list will ever get shorter. I've never read any of the discworld books, do you recommend to read them in order?
  16. Oh please copy! I would love to see what everyone else says :-) Thank you, yes it is!
  17. Great review! I've been eyeing this book for a while but then I saw the movie a couple o weeks ago. Do think I will still enjoy the book even though I know what happens?
  18. :-) There actually seems to a lot more books about "the little women" then I knew. So guess som good came out of my book only being the first half. I didn't give much thought into it when I bought a few years ago. To be honest I had heard about the book before but I only bought it cause it was on Dawson's Creek, my favorite guilty pleasure at the time. On a completely different note, I found this "challenge"on a blog and will be doing it on my own blog for the next 30 days. You simply answer one question a day! Day 01 – Best book you read last year Day 02 – A book that you’ve read more than 3 times Day 03 – Your favorite series Day 04 – Favorite book of your favorite series Day 05 – A book that makes you happy Day 06 – A book that makes you sad Day 07 – Most underrated book Day 08 – Most overrated book Day 09 – A book you thought you wouldn’t like but ended up loving Day 10 – Favorite classic book Day 11 – A book you hated Day 12 – A book you used to love but don’t anymore Day 13 – Your favorite writer Day 14 – Favorite book of your favorite writer Day 15 – Favorite male character Day 16 – Favorite female character Day 17 – Favorite quote from your favorite book Day 18 – A book that disappointed you Day 19 – Favorite book turned into a movie Day 20 – Favorite romance book Day 21 – Favorite book from your childhood Day 22 – Favorite book you own Day 23 – A book you wanted to read for a long time but still haven’t Day 24 – A book that you wish more people would’ve read Day 25 – A character who you can relate to the most Day 26 – A book that changed your opinion about something Day 27 – The most surprising plot twist or ending Day 28 – Favorite title Day 29 – A book everyone hated but you liked Day 30 – Your favorite book of all time
  19. Thanks Kylie I googled a bit more and saw that I was missing the part called Good Wives, but I'll be looking into Little Men as well. Have you read the book, I'm finding it a bit hard to get into and I'm not sure why. I do have a very bad copy, cause the print is uneven and it bothers me. But I also find that I'm not that interested in the story...Hopefully it will pick up as I read.
  20. Okay, I think I'll wait and read somtehing by Leif. GW until someone gives a copy of one of his books. I really enjoy the Wallander books by Mankell so I was hoping for something similar there. I still have not read anything by Nesbö but I saw a program about books and they said his books are getting very popular all over the world. So I will definitely check them out in the future. That is so great that he got a new job! Fishing and sleeping in a tent do not sound like my idea of a holiday. :-P May I suggest Galway Ireland, I found a really nice book shop when I was there. Unfortunately I only got to spend maybe 15 minutes in there until we had to go. http://www.charliebyrne.com/about.php
  21. Apparently my version of Little Women, although it says complete and unabridged is only the first part? I got a bit confused when I saw that other version were around 400-500 pages and mine is only 217. I don't own the second part and I checked with my library and they only have the shorter version with 38 pages for kids! I hate when they change books. I saw that it was originally released in two parts but then they could have at least written part one on my copy....
  22. Thank you, I think I will check it out since I've heard a lot about the books. I'm sure they have it at the library.
  23. Today I picked up Everything Is Illuminated from the library. I hope the Swedish translation is okay.
  24. The Valley of horses I think. I bought it when I was like ten cause it had the word horses in it. I never got around to reading it and now I've realized it's a part of a series and I don't have the first one.
