  1. we've done ok without him since September, but it looks to be his second serious knee injury could be the end for him which is a shame cos he could have played in the premiership easily.

  2. they won 1-0, but two of our best midfielders went off injured, one of them it was his first game back from injury since September. By the end of the game the goalie and our left back were pulling up, thats not including the 3 already out injured. I think our pitch is doing something to them

  3. Lord of war, normally dont like nic cage he is like a poor mans deniro; but its not a bad film
  4. I'm about to start reading Shogun
  5. Thats Aaron Ramsey finished for a couple of seasons that was not pretty. I find all the players standing round him crying like babies darkly funny though, he has broken his leg and will receive probably the best treatment from some of the best Dr's in the world! How would these players react in Afghanistan if one of their mates leg was blown clean off by an AK-47? Bunch of jessies.
  6. Ferrie Bodde off injured after half hour AND Darran Pratleyr Swansea officially have no midfield:motz:
  7. Yea what is with Ashley Cole? Who on gods green earth would cheat on Cheryl Cole?
  8. Anyone watching the Chelsea v Man City game? Wayne Bridge walked past Terry without shaking his hand at the start. Bridge is a total media 'lady of the night' imo and is loving all this, he's probably hoping for a book deal. He's a professional footballer and has thrown away his chance to play in the world cup, something every football player and fan on earth dreams of doing; and for what? because someone else slept with his ex girlfriend. What a clown.
  9. Fair point, but I have my doubts as to whether Harry Potter would have been the success it is without the movies.
  10. Ultimate Traveller on Ch4. I cant stand the pretty rich kids they seem to find for these types of shows (see Survivor), but the premise interests me. One girl complaining about 'backpacking like a pauper' what does she expect! The Hilton and servants! grr:motz: Thats the whole point of backpacking woman!
  11. For seemingly making very little effort to make reading more appealing and to be a worthwhile pass-time for the younger generations, I can walk into my local video store at any time of day and there will always be a handful of people there, everytime I have walked into my library over recent months it has been empty but for maybe 2 people.
  12. I can fully see and understand the lure of the cinema and DVD's/TV, what I am finding more and more difficult to understand is why reading itself seems to be so unpopular. Over the last few months for example I lent my copy of The girl with the dragon tattoo to a friend, as I handed it over I said it didnt really get going for me for the first 100 pages or so, they looked at me in horror! and to this date they havent even attempted to read it. If you say a similar thing about a film and say oh it's a bit slow for the first half but it gets a lot lot better, people would still watch it. School's and the government in this country have a lot to answer for.
  13. Is something that amazes me the more and more I think of it. For example, to rent a movie in the UK will cost you around
  14. This just shows how much CSI is on TV, I placed it on series record not long after I posted this last night and I now, already, have 5 episodes of it saved Edit: Make that 6
  15. What about Law and Order, are those mainly stand alones? Thats another series i've always liked the idea of...
  16. Think I will give CSI a go then, it's ALWAYS on living
  17. The idea of the CSI series have always interested me but I have never watched them, are they stand alone episodes or do you have to have seen the previous ones to know whats going on? Thats the main thing that puts me off.
  18. Thanks Kell, the girly aspect doesnt really bother me it would just be nice to be able to start doing it I will have a proper look through the magazines over the weekend
  19. If the CAB arent much help, which in my experience can be hit or miss; try talking to your local MP, the council will jump through hoops with the MP on their backs.
  20. I have around a 100 pages of Water for elephants left which I will finish tonight, and I have today picked up Something wicked this way comes & Shogun from my library, which should keep me busy for a few....millenia Shogun is huuggee
  21. Well I went to Asda today and picked up 3 cross stitching magazines: Britains No 1 CrossStitcher The World of CrossStitch & CrossStitch Crazy. They are quite girly but I can live with that, I see plenty of charts but what I'm supposed to do with them god only knows
  22. Inside: Predator Task Force on Sky 3 Documentary showing american police catching perverts and peadophiles
