  1. Oh nooo I missed it I love come dine with me. The Dave Lamb (if Ive got that right) guy is hilarious. Im always in stitches with his sarcastic comments.
  2. When I was little, the great mystery to me wasn't how babies were made but why. My sisters Keeper- Jodi Picoult
  3. I haven't done much reading over the past week, which is unusual as I've had so much time off. I did finally finish Marian Keyes- The other side of the story which took a few weeks in the end. Im now about a third of the way through My sisters Keeper- Jodi Picoult.
  4. Ha, I heard about that story earlier today. Couldn't help but wish I'd got snowed in there!
  5. Of the few books I've read that have been made into a film I generally prefer the books. I am desperate to see The time travellers wife. I finished the book a couple of months ago, I know it was in the cinema as my sister went to see it but I've visited blockbuster frequently and it's not on dvd yet...whats taking so long!? I have a feeling I will prefer the film this time.
  6. What books do you remember reading as a child? My faves were: Enid Blyton: The Enchanted Wood, The magic faraway tree and The folk of the faraway tree Michael Morpurgo- Kensuke's Kingdom All of Roald Dahl's books All of Jacqueline Wilson's books, e.g. The Lottie project, Bed and breakfast star, Suitcase kid, Double act. There the only ones that really stick out in my mind..will add if I come up with anymore.
  7. The only series I've recently read was the Twilight saga. I read the Harry Potter books (well sort of, up until book 4 I was transfixed, then I got bored, skipped books 5 and 6 but read the 7th). I quite liked knowing that once I'd finished the book the story wasn't yet over..there was more to be read. Until I finished Breaking dawn (the 4th and final twilight book), then I was a little annoyed. I certainly wouldn't mind starting another series.
  8. I'm a late 20's or early 30 year old woman. I work in PR, my dad and mum have recently separated. I have just written my first book and got myself an agent, hoping to get published. I am single but having fun , the love of my life went off with my ex best friend.
  9. My bookmark is one I bought in Lanzarote. It's a picture of a sun setting over the sea. Before that I used scraps of paper, tissues (unused) or whatever else was handy. I hate folding over the pages, and it really gets to me when people fold the book when they are reading it, not sure how to describe it but they bend the cover and pages they've already read backwards and so creates dreadful lines on the spine. Ahh nightmares.
  10. I'm working my way through marian keyes-the other side of the story. It's 650 pages so takes a while! I'm currently just over halfway, hoping to get 100 or so pages read by end of the day.
  11. Come dine with me How clean is your house The family Big brother (in small quantities) x factor
  12. I haven't heard of most of the bands or artists people have mentioned! Might have a listen to a few of them. I'm mostly an RnB, Pop, Hip Hop fan, but there are bands/artists that don't fit into these categories, such as Kings of Leon, James Morrison, Imogen Heap, Hope, Nickelback, Placebo, Sia, Snow Patrol, Coldplay. My RnB/Pop/Hip Hop faves are: Akon Beyonce Black eyed peas Pussycat dolls Jls Jay Sean Kano Rihanna Taio Cruz N Dubz Tinchy Stryder DJ Ironik Trey Songs Usher
  13. Chicane ft Natasha Bedingfield- Bruised water Beyonce ft Shakira- Beautiful Liar Alphabeat- Ten thousand nights Kings of Leon- Use somebody Jay z and Linkin Park- Numb/Encore Jls- One shot Panic! at the disco- Lying is the most fun a girl can have without taking her clothes off Black eyed peas- Meet me halfway Imogen Heap- Hide and seek Hope- Who am I to say
  14. That's suspicious, just saw on the news the coroner thinks it was natural at this point. Nah can't be..surely.
  15. Hi teamedward. Im new too and also a twilight fan. So far I have only read the saga once but just before Eclipse comes out in the cinema I will re-read the book. Also I am on team edward, however after seeing Jacob's new body in new moon I was VERY nearly persuaded. Welcome to the forum! x
  16. That actually sounds slightly more edible to me! I'm a chilli fan.
  17. I ate two strawberry creme chocolates out of a tin of quality street and thought that would suffice as my dinner (too lazy to cook on a sunday). Shockingly Im still hungry so Im cooking up some pasta which Ill stir some pesto into. Yum yum. Peanut butter and cheeseburger would be my worst nightmare..who the hell came up with that!?
  18. I hate all adverts lol. Especially any that I have learnt off by heart as that just proves they are advertising too often. That Disaronno drinks one or whatever it is is grating on me at the moment.
  19. Only recently in the past few months have I got back into books. As a child I was always reading but it went downhill from around age 10 til now. Anyway I am mostly a chick lit fan, with a few psychology books thrown in plus the twilight saga which Im not ashamed to admit I love lol. I haven't really read many of the 'classics' but I'm hoping to expand a bit on genres soon. Some of them I read because they are linked to the Child Psychology Course I am doing. I'll just write Course next to them. 20. When I first got the call, I thought he'd died. Marian Keyes- Other side of the story
  21. I think it was to do with drugs too. Surely can't be a coincidence that she's had drug problems and a cardiac arrest at such a young age. I'm still shocked, seems like we have had so many celebrity deaths in 09!
  22. Was just about to write this. So sad I loved her in Just married.
