My hilarious grandsons. Honestly, we could be rich if I weren't so darn lazy and would get the camera!
In between the antics of a 3 year old and a 16 month old, I'm watching Jeremiah Johnson (Robert Redford!)
-
I missed most of it also but there will be repeats AND like you said, I can watch it online!

I think books will continue to be around. I work at an independent bookstore and our sales are steady. We have customers who own kindles but still purchase books. There is just something comforting in having a couple of bookshelves in a room with a fireplace!
Add to the picture the frustrated kindle owner who breaks or loses their toy. I had a customer who came in yesterday to purchase a book because she sat on her kindle and it would cost the price of a new one to fix it.
Many people just have a relationship with their books, the ones with the dog ears and the pen marks at their favorite passage.
I have suggested to the owner that he should get with ABA (American Book Association) and start selling the ebooks also and he is seriously considering it.

Masterpiece Mystery begins tonight on PBS (American Public Television) and its looking great! Detective Lewis, Agatha Christie and Hercule Peroit! I'm recording them all! Anybody else watching them?
-

I'm watching John Wayne in True Grit. Me and the hubby love westerns, not the old '30's but the later ones. Their much gritter!

We're planning a trip to Disney World in Orlando, Florida for the sole purpose of visiting Hogwarts! I would love to re-visit Hogwarts, the Burrow and even Privet Drive!

That's the question heh?! Where there African's on the island at anytime before Caesar? Or did any remain after the Romans left, So I guess during the Iron Age? The African's had already been about midway into their Iron Age before it was introduced in Britain.

Okay, I am in need of ideas! I have to start preparing early even though the class isn't until the Fall semester. My history paper is for my Historian's Craft class. Its at least a 20 page paper! This doesn't scare me (yet) but I'm having a hard time coming up with a really interesting topic to focus on for 7 months! Are there any questions that you've always had but didn't have the time or ability to do the research? I want this paper to be the best paper EVER!
So, all you creative and imaginative people, can you toss out ideas?! The only condition is that it not be something that has been beat into the ground (unless it can be approached from a new perspective!).
Thanks SO much!

Please tell me WHY I'm watching Little Britain?! I'm on the 4th episode and I can't seem to stop watching it!

Terry Jones Barbarian Lives and Harry Potter Chamber of Secrets

In that case, maybe I should take my time reading it, you know, pace myself so I don't forget it.

I've actually been reading it for the past three weeks. Its slow going for me as I'm in the thick of summer classes (Transatlantic Goth) and so I can't read as much as I want right now but trust me, when I have my weekend off before the next session starts....I'm going to finish this book!

REALLY?!! What else IS there to watch?! You Brits have taken over the airways!!!

This just leaves me speechless. Tell me what you think. It just reeks of lies.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows!

I actually saw the movie a month ago. Very interesting, might need to put it on my reading list.

Take a look at our local paper. I love it because we can make comments on the articles. This one is especially "different" as it is about one of our council members and her illness (diarrhea of the mouth) Please read the comments, they are better than the article!

This book has kept me rooted. Its the story of what happens to America after a EPM has been drooped. This EPM is some form of electrical nuclear bomb that has rendered the US locked in a nightmare were the nation is in the dark, no televisions, computers, telephones, absolutely nothing, chaos ensues. The sick dying off because of age and lack of meds, nursing home a nightmare and marshal law. Really thought provoking.

Finishing up One Second After by William R. Forstchen. What a frightening and realistic read. I am doing this for my New Nation class for extra credit and let me tell you, its a scary thought...

I agree. I have most of his books on my bookshelf and have started and stopped them a few times. For me its just a matter of having the time to do it. Maybe over the winter months. I don't see me reading New York though, it just doesnt seem to "catch" me like his other works.
