  8. No ....I never give myself a time limit. So much of our lives are confined to schedules and deadlines as it is. I read for the simple pleasure of reading and however long it takes,.. that's how long it takes.

  13. Gosh ... you ARE a genius, BookJumper. That sounds delicious.
  14. Ah ...fair enough. With MB being sans Jets, I've had to pick another team to call "my team" and .... Flames it is! Even football ....Bombers first, of course - Stampeeders second.
  15. Diana Gabaldon's characters raise their eyebrows all the time and the corners of their mouths often "twitch."
  16. HaHa Echo You were a rather busy girl the other night making all those bookmarks. What prompted such a dream, I wonder? They sound lovely, though.
  17. BookWorm, BookBee ....your both absolutely right about visualizing the actors ~ I do hate that and find it quite distracting. You've convinced me to just sit down and start reading the book instead of trying to fast-track myself to this shocking ending I keep hearing about. I do agree with you about The Notebook. THAT movie I enjoyed ....in fact, dare I say, I may have enjoyed even more than the book which is really odd, I know.
  18. How exciting! What prompted the move to the UK? ....that's a big, scary step ~ I admire your courage. Good luck to you in finding a house. How do you like it over there?

  22. I always have a book along with me wherever I go so that I can pass time just in case I find myself having to wait for something or someone; but I can't say as anyplace could be described as "strange."
  23. Hey Blithe .... I'm very new to the forum as well. Always nice to meet a fellow Canadian.
