    I plan on reading Echos by Robin Jones Gunn a little bit later. It is a very easy chick lit book that I can usually get through in only a few hours. Today I just feel like reading something light and simple.

    Of course! Their coffee is to die for too... much better than that pathetic Starbucks place.

    There is this unique little coffee house here in SF called The Firehouse. The best way to explain it is like a movie set with different rooms but they are all open with only seperating walls between them that go part way up to the celing. Each room is set up like a living room and they are all different colors and different styles of furniture. You can go in and choose a room for your group and enjoy coffee while you read/discuss. There is also a main room with a stage for bands and stuff but it is far enough away so that you can even have your group while a band is playing and not be too drowned out by the music. I love that place

    The night out was okay. I felt a bit seperated from them in the sense that we have all really grown apart in the last year. The topics of conversation were mainly ones I didn't feel I had much of a right to comment on anymore, if that makes any sense.

    It is scary! If this keeps up I may need to get a bookcase after all, my window ledge is going to be half way to the top with books soon! I got Push by Sapphire, The Complete Beatles Chronicle by Mark Lewisohn, and Stories I Wouldn't Tell Nobody But God... by Rasheed Clark in the mail today. I plan to start the Beatles one today but will wait until I'm done with Heresy for the others. Yay for ever-growing TBR piles!

    Thats really cool you bumped into an old friend :D Sounds like you've had a pretty good day so far.

     

    I've just gotten home from running a few errands. I picked up some packages of books in my apartment office (See my reading thread for further details as I don't want to clutter up your wall with my naughty book buying) and I ran to the store to get all the ingredients for Better Than Sex Cake :D As of now I am on my 4th coctail of the day and plotting out my cleaning/laundry for the day. Aka, I am probably the most boring person you'll ever meet.... :lol:

     

    So glad to hear you are loving Chosen! Its one of those books where people either love it or are indifferent. Zoey is one of the best characters to have been written in the YA genra, IMO. I love her Cherokee background and how P.C. Cast stays true to the Native American heritage and folklore.

    Prince Charles was doing a grand tour of Australia. He was informed by his assistant that he had to open a cannery in Woga Woga (In New South Wales, near Sydney). The next day he was in Woga Woga ready for the opening. Limo, assistants, bodyguards, suit and a large pair of scissors. As Prince Charles was making a speech, people were rudely staring at an unusual ornament on his head- A fox hat. but no one dared mention it to him. Prince Charles cut the ribbon and everyone there went upstairs to have a little party with canned food and all the rest of it. Eventually a drunk man approached Prince Charles and said "Sir, I appreciate you being here but what's up with that ridiculous fox hat?" Charles was happy to reply. "Well I called Mummy last night and asked her what I should wear to open a cannery in Woga Woga.Then she said 'wear the fox hat!'" (Read that bold bit out if you don't understand it.)
