  1. That sounds like a good one I'll check it out! Thanks, Kylie!
  2. I just discovered the whole 'groups' feature earlier today! That is really cool I joined the BCF one and the Rory Gilmore Challenge one. Any other recommendations or tips for newbies?
  3. The evening news
  4. Kk, that all sounds good to me
  5. Sounds good to me, just let me know Yeah, I agree. I need to finish Heresy and I would like to get in The Alchemist and Pride and Prejudice and Zombies yet this month so maybe we could do LotR in May or June? Are we going to start with the Hobbit and then go throught he trilogy or do you just want to do the trilogy?
  6. Thanks, beef I'll look into those.
  7. Does anyone have any good recommendations for virus protection software that is fairly affordable and easy to use (aka, I won't have to do anything manual with it after installation)? Mine is set to expire this month and I have had nothing but problems in the year I've had it. Every 6 hours my computer will automatically restart itself and if I don't touch it for anywhere between 5-20 minutes (aka, if I take a bathroom break or go answer the door or something) it will freeze my computer up and I'll have to manually restart it unless I remember to turn OFF the protection! The one I have right now is some version of Norton, so anything besides that. I don't know anything when it comes to software so I'd really appreciate any input.
  8. Season 2 starts here next week and I can hardly wait! I've seen some previews and the confirmed musical guests so far include: It is also rumored that we will see more of Can't wait!
  9. I hope you were able to get some good quality sleep today, vodkafan. Have you ever considered taking sleeping aids or anything? It is kind of nice to wake up surrounded by books (I LOVE the smell) but kind of a pain in the bum when you wake up with one under your pillow or poking into your chest. They are a bit hard and pointy, not suitable for a comfortable snooze I love how my evenings are your days because I'm able to be on most in the evenings. It works out perfectly! Did you guys want to consider doing Wicked for May?
  10. I just picked this one up yesterday and am looking forward to starting it soon.
  11. Eh, sleep is overrated. We'll all sleep when we die, its time to live today! Carpe diem! (You'll get the refrence after you watch Dead Poets Society, frankie) Let's hope the Twins do well this season and that the new home and Mauer's outrageous contract will bring them luck and help them win the World Series!
  12. Pretty much. Sleep? Who needs sleep? BCF is my homepage so whenever I open up my computer it just happens to pop up when I open the browser. How about you? You're on at some pretty crazy times yourself!
  13. Yay! :boogie:I can't wait to see what you think of Heresy. It's been one of the best books I've read in a long time.
  14. I'd be up for that! I was so excited about the books that I ended up falling asleep with them all on my bed next to me tonight. It's 3:40am here now and I just woke up surrounded by books! Bliss or slightly obsessed?
  15. I have several times and all of my blood tests have been normal.
  16. No, it's on Louise right by Johnny Carino's. Ooh, that sounds like fun for her! Hopefully she will get a chance to check it out. You really do need to come for a visit sometime, so much has changed in this town in the last 5 years I've lived here. Its growing like you wouldn't believe because people have been broadcasting Sioux Falls as the number 1 city in the nation to find a job. Pepole are just flocking here from left and right, its crazy! (Tell your mom to avoid 41st street, they took out the bridge over the Big Sioux and it won't be done until Augustish. 41st is a crazy mess!) Have you gotten to see the Twin's new home yet?
  17. Not that I know of. I have had Dunn Bros in the cities though! Danish...mmm.... those are so delish! My favourite coffee place in town (better than Starbucks even) is this new coffee/wine bar (yes, a coffee shop that serves wine!) called Coffea. They use organic products and support as many South Dakota grown products as possible. They also draw little pictures in your coffee foam! The coffee is to die for. You can go in, get your coffee, sit by a fireplace for a bit, listen to some live music, do some wine tasting and hang with friends all in one blissful coffee chic little shop
  18. I say its worth a go. Its really user-friendly and it makes keeping track of your TBR pile sooo easy. In the few days I've been on it I already feel much more organized with my 'piles'. Do it
  19. No coffee sadly, this shop is literally the size of an apartment. We did get a Caribou Coffee in the mall though! I don't like them as much as starbucks (I think they use too much sweetener and syrup). Ooh... that sounds delish! *drools at the thought of white chocolate chip cookies* A trip to Seattle would be worth it just to go on a coffee tour or something!
  20. I've just been reading a bit more of Heresy tonight. It is rare when a book just blows me away, but this one does. It takes only a few words for the author to pull you in and take full control of your emotions, anger and anticipation mostly, and then throw a little twist in that will make you laugh and want to high five the main character. This is one of the best books of 2010, surely.
  21. Goodreads is a great tool for keeping track of your books. I really encourage you to check it out I'll add that HP Lovecraft to my own list, thanks
  22. I see you're enjoying Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. When you're finished do you think you're going to try Seth Grahame-Smith's Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter book? That was another one I was looking at in there that looked rather intriguing.
  23. Good morning! *Passes CW a large steamy cup of coffee* I saw a pair of rocker wellies in the mall and thought about you. They were black with silver studs. I had no idea that wellies could have studs.

  24. I've heard a lot of mixed reviews on The Alchemist. Its a rather small book so hopefully it will be worth the read, if not at least I can justify it by saying I got it half price Honestly, I wasn't a huge fan of Wicked the first time I read it either peacefield, mostly because I am a huge fan of the musical and the book is quite a bit... racier than the stage version of the story. It is worth a read to anyone who is a fan of fantasy and/or The Wizard of Oz. This time around I am going to try reading it without any preconcieved notions and try to be more open with the story because I want to go on to read Son of a Witch and other Maguire novels. If I remember right I think you reviewed or discussed somewhere Water for Elephants, Kylie and you were the one who got the title stuck in the back of my head. The Boarders isn't big at all! Its just a tiny, smaller than most clothing stores sized hole in the wall in our mall next to a watch kiosk where an old friend of mine works. I had stopped to talk to her and noticed it behind her kiosk. She laughed and told me its been here the whole darn time! I signed up for their rewards program and their email coupons, too. Yay Boarders!
