Aah probably no where near me then! It still sounds lovely though

Aah I loved his possessions, they were so wonderfully fake and extremely amusing!

Ooh creepy, I like it!! Looks like something off Most Haunted!
-
Me too, and I have an A Level in Art haha!

My SIster's Keeper was pretty good, amethyst. Bawled my eyes out 15 minutes into the movie xD
Are you gonna read the book first or just see the film and THEN read the book? Yeah, the movie looks interesting but they got lots of little things wrong, just looking at the trailer. Hopefully it'll be good.
Yeah I might wait until My Sister's Keeper comes out on DVD so I can have a good old cry in the privacy of my own home hehe!!

Well that sounds lovely! I might put that on my TBR list. Out of interest, does it say what Welsh town it's based in?

I have several, but I always prefer to use floppier bookmarks than rigid ones. Not sure why, bit that's how it is.
At the moment my floppy bookmark is of the German Underground Hospital in Jersey.
I'm the same, my Mum bought me a beautiful metal one for christmas that has a butterfly on top with purple gems in it, but I don't use it much. My dad actually gave me a new one today from his new consignment of thai gifts, it's a floppy one with pressed flowers on it, very pretty!
P.S. I have a book about that hospital in Jersey

I don't think I could ever read more than one book at a time, for one I would get extremely confused, but I don't know how I'd find the time to read more than one anyway!
-
Wow that's lovely!! I love fireworks, they're so pretty haha!! My sis takes the most amazing photo's, I find it hard to believe that they're from a member of my family sometimes, hehe!

Another book I thought of the other day, which is based during war time but in Auschwitz is I Was Dr Mengele's Assistant by Miklos Nyiszli. It's a non fiction book. I think I read this in about two days, it's extremely interesting to hear the story from someone who was actually inside Auschwitz and is very disturbing and upsetting in parts, but I think people need to keep reading and seeing things about the holocaust to remind them how awful it was so that it never happens again!

I read Of Mice and Men in school too and it is a really good book!
-
The Time Traveler's Wife (but not until I've finished the book), Inglorious Basterds (have been waiting for this since before they finished filming it), My Sister's Keeper and another that I can't remember, not bad considering there's hardly anything I want to watch in the cinema!
-
I really want to read this too as the film is one of my favourites, has me in floods everytime I watch it, has to go into my TBR along with many many others

I've just bought this on ebay, thought I'd try something a bit different, has anyone read it?
-
I'm 28 and still get ID'd for alcohol and cigarettes (not that I buy them anymore!)

Thanks for this! Looks like another nerd fest site for me so am happy
The profile picture choices are quite random or am I missing something?

Hi and welcome! I'm new too!! Loving it so far though, there's just so much to look at on here and I'm sure you'll find the same!
I also have read a few war stories and have a few more lined up, although I have some factual ones too!
Have fun:)

Hi and welcome!
Have you ever read any Ilsa Evans she's a pretty good chick lit author and funny to boot.
No I haven't heard of her, will check her out though, thanks:D
I only started The Time Traveler's Wife last night but I'm already finding it really interesting, had a bit of trouble putting it down!

I think I might have a bit of a problem now I've signed up to this forum, there's just so much to look at you can literally spend hours on here! I have damn housework to do!
-
Oh good, pleased to hear it!!
-
Ive just realised that I've completely missed out my love of the weird and wonderful Robert Rankin! What an interesting mind he has!
-
Robert Rankin is responsible for my love of reading, I never touched a book willingly until I read Garden of Unearthly Delights, it was so completely and utterly off the wall it had me hooked, then there was no going back! I think I've read nearly all of them apart from the more recent ones (really should get back into them). My favourite is Waiting for Godalming, just the blurb on the back has me giggling!! I try and explain his books to people, I just get strange looks haha!! Sex, Drugs and Sausage Rolls is another of my favourites too! Oh there are so many to choose from though!
-
I tend to buy most of my books from Amazon, however I could literally spend hours in Waterstones, it is a bit pricey, however I just find it an elegant shop (yes I know I'm a nerd!)
The Earth Hums in B Flat by Mari Strachan

haha Chrissy you sound just like me! I'm completely addicted to buying books on ebay at the moment, whether they're on my list or not, it's not good!
I will definately let you know what I think once I've read it, will probably quite a while away though, have so many others to read!
