  1. Really? I suppose it is a bit like marmite. I find it seems to envoke every singel emotion in me. I seem to always instantly know the characters like I have always known them. I don't know why. I'm re-reading it for the LOST book club challenge. I noticed you are reading a book called The uncensored Oral history of Punk. I read a book called that. I can't remember it being PLease killme though. Good read if it is the same book. I picked up my reservation of the book: Bone Song by JOhn Meaney. I bought the second book in the series at a chairty shop and when reading the reviews it mentioned that you had to read the first book before. Also picked up the following books from the charity shop. 25p each. *The Sword and the satchel - Elizabeth. H. Boyer. * The warrior Heir - Cinda Williams Chima *The Hungry Moon - Ramsey Campbell *WARHAMMER: Elfslayer - Nathan Long.
  2. Over half way through Lord of the Flies. Fantastic, I just love this book
  3. Yjay sounds like my sortof film As for me watched Lord of the ringsL Fellowship of the RIng. Planning to watch The Matrixfor the first time tonight!
  4. So I picked up a copy of The Blade itself today and it looks really good, I also picked up my reservation for Muddle earth. By Paul Stewart and Chris Riddell. Looks really funny. ts a big book but I think a kids book. Ther is a cartoon on the BBC. Has the voice talent of David Jason. Muddle Earth is not quite like our earth. For a start is has three moons. And of course, the abundance of pink, stinky hogs, sleeping, farting trolls and exploding gas frogs mark it out as something quite extraordinary. In fact, welcome to a world where nothing is quite as it should be, especially for young Joe Jefferson, an ordinary boy who somehow finds himself not only transported to this curious planet, but discovers fairly quickly that he is also its saviour-apparent. The kids like it because therea character called Randalf. haha. Also picked up thesebooks in a charity shop. *KOKO - Peter Straub *Unfinished Tales - J.R.R. Tolkien ( editied by Christpoher tolkien) *Dark BLood - John Meaney Has anyone read KOKO. It sounds good. But more because it sounds a mystery, as mot much is revealed in the blurb. dark blood I have just found out s part of a series. D'oh!!!! But has been given full marks. **edit*** I have just reserved the book I need to read before Dark blood. Yay!

  7. Went to the village to get my medication and I noticed a 25p book sale! In I went! Loads of things had gone by the looks of it. But I did manage to pick up *The INterpretation of murder- Jed rubenfeld *The Girl who played with Fire - Stieg Larsson *Gone by Michael Grant. On the back of the Michael Grant GONE book it said LORD OF THE FLIES for the HEROES generation. Me in a rush thought it said LOST not HEROES. D'oh:banghead: but still looks good.
  8. Read some more Lord of the Flies. still loving it. I also went into the library to pick up my reservation of American Psycho. I have lost my copy and had the need to read it now. When I picked p the book, a huuuuge paperweightt was also there!!! A copy of The Passage had arrived! YAY! It's in Hardback, and will no doubt exceed my hand luggage. So the lovely library offered to put a reservation on the paperback copy, hoping that it comes in before my flight.

  14. Brilliant! I was worried that I was going to skip a book or something. Brilliant. Thanks. I don't know much about Pratchett and was worried I was going to be reading a book in the middle of the DISCWORLD series. Reading wise. I only managed 30 pages of Little Girls Lost before having work stuff to do. Still plodding along with it and because the pace of the book is quick. I seem to go reading it pretty fast.
  15. Went to the library today to pick up my sons' reservation and in the process I randomly found: * Linger - Maggie Stiefvater *The Bromeliad - Terry Pratchett (Truckers, Diggers and Wings.) To Pratchett fans.......Is this a good book to start. Is this the beginning of one of his series? I have the Colour of Magic waiting to arrive from Amazon.
