  1. Now reading Cass by Cass Pennant but bought Wilbur Smiths Warlock and all six James Herriot books in one big volume
  2. I like the Political ones just to read what made them tick and make the decisions they do, Royal ones intrigue me as well as some celebrities, I even enjoy Hoolie Lit to understand what causes football violence.
  3. Not an exploitation but a way of introducing children to books. As a child I read the book and saw the film adaptation or visa versa. Disneyisation has helped many children discover books.
  4. I never lend books due to bad experiences with so called friends. My sister sold several of my lent to her books on a car boot stall. Now I never lend simples.

  17. Yup computers rule childrens lives nowadays, rather than a work tool it is more of a communication advice, my grandaughter is never off her lap top and she has such a nice book collection on her shelves. I have to be patient and keep telling her about the books I have read hoping she may pick one up and read it.

  21. Only sad book bores scribble in margins. I have bought books and seen the notes. "Too much sex" or too much swearing" I agree that swearing should not be used (there are plenty of words to use in the dictionary instead) but the sex reminds me of the good times in the 60's
