I finished reading The Road last night. OMG!
I don't think I have cried so much whilst reading a book. I don't think I have wanted characters to be ok as much as I did with the Father and Son. I kept getting closer and closer to the end and nothing was getting better for them. The ending was quite unexpected with regards to what happened to the Dad. I think this story will stick with my for a while.
I have Salem's Lot by Stephen King to read next.

I still reading and loving The Road. It is an easy read (the form is easy - not the content) and I could probably have read it in one sitting but have been reading it in bits and bobs - such is life. I have to see the film after this
-
I am about halfway through The Road by Cormac McCarthy I'm enjoying it so far. It is quite easy to read but the content is tough in places. I desperately want these characters to be ok
-
I'm going to buy Wicked soon too
Still reading Change of Heart by Jodi Picoult
How are you finding Change of Heart so far?
-
I finished Wicked last night. I don't think I can put into words how GOOD this book is. It is a brilliant work of fantasy but it is also so much more than that! I'll certainly read it again.
I started reading the sequel last night Son of a Witch too and that is really good so far
-
I've been watching it since epsiode one and love it. Leanard is kinda cute, yes?
My boyfriend's sister is doing a master's in physics and laughs at some of the more 'intelligent' jokes though
-
I'm still loving Wicked. I'm about halfway through now. It is SO good and I wish I could just sit and read it all in one go but sadly I can't
I'm excited by this author though

I have started reading Small Island - Andrea Levy today. It seems to have a number of favourable reviews under its belt so I'm looking forward to getting into it
It's a very good book
I hope you enjoy it

I don't really care if a book is popular. I find most of the books i read through forums, podcasts and blogs and most of those are probably the hyped books. I bought The Road today and only got it because I want to see the film (but want to read it first) so, I think I am quite a trendy reader
I don't care though - reading is reading
-
I'm still reading Wicked and I'm really enjoying it. I love Elphaba
My boyfriend bought The Road by Cormac McCarthy today as well
I'm looking forward to reading that one
-
it's probably on 4OD as well
-
I purchased 'My Cousin Rachel' by Daphne Du Maurier.
That book is BRILLIANT! I loved it
I hope you enjoy it
I finished reading Mrs de Winter by Susan Hill, which I was very dissapointed with.
I started reading Wicked by Gregory Maquire I am enjoying it
I'm up to part 2 so far - really weird book
-
I'll probably not pick up with Flash Forward after the mid season break. I'm not really bothered by it anymore :s
-
I've seen the first two episodes and really liking it
Sue the cheerleading coach scares the hell out of me
-
I've nearly finished reading Mrs De Winter by Susan Hill but I must say I'm quite dissapointed with it.
Mrs de Winter is just moping around and one minute she is happy and the next she isn't. Nothing really seems to be happening and I find it very hard to believe that she hasn't grown int eh ten years she has spent travelling with Maxim.

I finished reading Rebecca's Tale by Sally Beauman. It was really good. Really good to revisit the old characters and places in the original work
I started reading Mrs de Winter by Susan Hill
-
I would never dream of taking a book back to a book shop because I didn't like it. THat is the chance you take when you purchase a book! You should have pointed her in the direction of the nearest library
I also work in a shop and get a lot of abuse. A customer called me a 'minger' once

I took this book out of the library just before Christmas but haven't had a chance to read it yet. I loved Rebecca and re-read it last year - it was such a delight again. I then read Mrs De Winter by Susan Hill which I also thoroughly enjoyed. I'm glad you are enjoying Rebecca's Tale - I'll have to make a start soon before I have to take it back/renew it.
I bought two more books yesterday with my voucher (3 for 2 actually) so that

I have finished part one of Rebecca's Tale. Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier is the best book I read in 2009 so I thought Rebecca's Tale would be a good book to start on in 2010 and I'm really enjoying it. It's really good to revisit the old places and characters and it is written so well that I keep forgetting it isn't written my Du Maurier herself!

has anyone seen Nowhere Boy? I saw it last night and recommend it to Lennon/Beatles fans

I cried my eyes out watching this

I am adding this to my reading list

Just saw the season (one) finale tonight! OMG!
I nearly died when Bill was trying to get to Sookie!!! I didn't guess who the killer was until the last second and I now love Sam again <3 I'm wondering who the woman is that is helping Tera! Also... I'm worried that Bill fed on Lafayette! I love him - he is a duuude!

I'm getting through Salem's Lot by Stephen King quite quickly. It's good - creepy - not scary
