I like Patterson too. I am a huge Val McDermid fan and I Karin slaughter. If you like Patterson and Cornwell I recommend Slaughter. Start from the beginning and read Blindsighted. apart from a couple of her recent books which were not up to her high standard they are by far my favourite books. I have just finished reading her latest Genisis and it was one fo the best books I have read in years! But you need to read the previous first.
