    LOTR is definitely my favourite, despite all the boring parts. I'm okay with his style of writing but what I mainly like about LOTR was the world he created. I was so fascinated by like, the elves and hobbits and the whole Sauron thing that I didn't realy mind the overly descriptive words. The Children of Hurin comes second, I would think. I just loved everything about it, especially the plot and the way it was written and stuff (even though it was edited or co-written or whatever the hell it is by his son). Loved it. The Silmarillion was boorrinngg as, but there WERE some parts of it that were very interesting. This book made me feel like maybe there WERE elves and Eldar and stuff before us. Only read it once though :S

    Same here. It was definitely better than any other HP movie. I didn't really like Dumbly in this movie. His acting was bad, he seemed very neutral.

    Hm. I didn't really have big expectations for the movie, but I thought it was greater than any other HP movie. It was AWESOME compared to the other ones. Seriously. Sure, there was some bits where it's like, WHAAAT? but still! They stuck to the book more. (I was outraged by the Avada kedavra thing though, it was BLUE! Supposed to be green.) and also that part with snape... but anyways. It was better.

    Yeah, I get where you're coming from, but I dunno if I have the patience to ever read it again. Maybe when I'm older! I don't know what it is, but I have always been impatient with oldies. I try to read them but I just can't enjoy them! Everyone seems to LOoooove Jane Austen and I couldn't even read Pride and Prejudice without drifting off every page or so. Ah well. Yet again, maybe I'll appreciate oldies more when I'm older. IT by Stephen King FINALLY finished it and I gotta tell ya- Oh my God. Seriously. The only things bad about it were that it was too long (although I don't think it woulda been this awesome if it wasn't long) and that there was like pages of unimportant bits that I just didn't wanna read. It was like, history stuff and I was like mehh. That's it though! Everything was PERFECT. The plot! Genius. The characters? Brilliant. and the way he set it out is so effective! I love it. Definitely give it like, a 9.75/10 or something. Next one up is Things I Want my Daughters to know! I've already read 50 pages and not really HOOKED yet. I like it, but I'm not INTO IT, if you know what I mean. Hopefully it'll be good.

    Can You Keep a Secret? by Sophie Kinsella Finished it! It was pretty awesome, I love her style of writing! So funny. I give it 9.5/10

    I still have a cough but that's it. :) It was really bad, everything hurt like HELL. But no worries. Btw, I called you yesterday to see if you could walk Bailey with me at the time but no-one answered. :S Odd indeed, odd. AND I was also calling to see if you had money cause I miss Hershey's. I really do. :cry2: My love!

    How awesome is it that I had reached my 666th post. And now I'm ruining it all by posting my 667th. Ah well. Dracula by Bram Stoker I had lots of great expectations for Dracula. Thought it was gonna be like, awesome blood and guts and stuff like that. This is like, the oldest book I've ever read, ever. It feels weird. But anyways. At first, I really liked his style of writing. I thought it was very formal, but at times it could be QUITE annoying. It was TOO formal, and it annoyed me. I didn't feel connected with the characters either. Like, usually I feel for their pain if someone died, I feel for their joy if someone lived, but I didn't. I felt distant and..I dunno. I didn't like it. All in all, though, I give it a 7/10. I could understand that it's one of the most influential books ever, but it just had some kinks that just weren't for me, ay. You know, at the end, I got kind of impatient with his writing that I just read it just to finish it. I was so annoyed, I wanted to just FINISH it. That's what kept me going, really.

    Yeah, if we still had Sky i'd be watching them too. We had to move here in Australia though and I dunno if they have Sky here at all. I think we only have Foxtel which is ridiculously expensive, btw. Free to air tv is just.. annoying. There's nothing GOOD on. I never watch it nowadays.

    -shakes fist- It went out on June 26 there, didn't it? I still can't get over why they had to delay it here. Comes out here a month after you guys. A MONTH! And the same with The Time Traveler's Wife. It comes out everywhere August 14, whereas here, it comes out November something. Sucks BUT ANYWAYS Hey, at least HP releases here a day before you guys.. CAN'T WAIT!!!

    Haha, scary child indeed. I never really watched Buffy OR Angel back in the day. I think I was watching Spongebob and all those Powerpuff Girl ****. :lol: They were so awesome though. I actually miss those old shows. Blues Clues and the Teletubbies. They were so AWESOME.

    Yes, I put some other unexplored genres in my list this year, I was getting tired of the same old fantasy and teenage fiction. Hence the horror! I try to avoid crime though, I just know I won't like it.

     

    Vampires are so awesome. I feel so drawn to them for some reason. Sometimes they can be lonely and like, fighting the thirst, and sometimes they're just so fierce and so strong! I love them. xD

    Yeah, it's a bit...FORMAL and POSH, but it's great. :) It's like, the oldest book I've ever read, I don't read much old books. :lol: I prefer modern! Ima modern'un. But anyways. You gotta love vamp books.

    Yeah, he's awesome. I love his Cosimo, though! And the Black Prince and his bear- one of my FAVES. He was so AWESOME. So heroic, so NOBLE. I put my hands down to Cornelia Funke for that one.

    Haha, ah the Twilight Obsession. I actually miss those days for me, but now I just feel sick whenever I think of Twilight. xD Speaking of Vampires, I am now reading Dracula after some waiting for it and it's quite good so far! Have you read it yet?

    I only really cry in the sixth HP and the seventh one. I didn't really think the Fourth or the Fifth one was sad at all. With the Fifth one, I wasn't really that..ATTACHED to Sirius at all, so I didn't really feel sorry for him.

    The ending of the movie WAS stupid. It was more than stupid. I was so outraged when I saw it I almost shouted my head off. But anyways. Yes, I love Dustfinger! More the movie version than the book version though, because the movie one is just so... *drools*
