  1. I know it would be stupid. They had a whole chapter on it and he is such a big character! I did find a link here http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/movies/a130681/producer-reveals-potter-omissions.html and I found the whole interview by searching on google for
  2. I can't believe the hype over DJ Talent. It is like Crazy Frog all over again!
  3. The Book Thief I am really worried about. The book is amazing, and fills you up with such strong emotions. I am afraid the film might just ruin it, like with The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas. The best film I have ever seen is Stardust. I found the book to be really well written but the story was disappointing, and found that even though the film changed a lot of scenes it was done for the best. Amazing film
  4. As bad as it sounds, changing stuff like this, I am so looking foward to the film
  5. Well I'm re-reading them at the moment, currently on the third, so I can join in any discussion you might have as it is all fresh in my head
  6. You better love it Dan
  7. But it was still like reading bad fanfic. I demand she write during the Voldy era much better. A whole book. Nooooo, a whole series Harry hype is getting to me a bit too much
  8. I got a copy of The Bone Collector yesterday for
  9. I didn't, it was pointless. But I would love her to write a book from when Voldy was powerful before Harry came along. Or anything from Snapes or James point of view. The prince's tale was not enough for me, I need more Snape
  10. I remember somebody linked me to it, and it really did come across as bad fan fiction.
  11. I've recently read it for a book group I am in, and I have to say it wasn't the best book ever. The translation wasn't that bad, I have read much worse translations, but I found it confusing how time jumped in the different parts of the book and was wondering what was happening now. I also couldn't warm up to the characters until part 3 of the book. For the people who have read the book - Michaels dilemma -
  12. While re-reading them I am trying to find funny bits like that which I never noticed before
  13. This sucks now, nobody seems to be going =(

    How are yous anyway?

  14. The build up gave me butterflies, like it was actually happening to me
  15. OotP is amazing I can't believe I used to really hate it, and it was the one reason I stopped reading them until HBP came out. PoA though has always been my favourite and cannot wait until I get to read it
  16. Oh wow! I can't wait for this
  17. Exactly I am so glad we have a Waterstones at uni, a great place to go to after 3 hour lectures. I have to admit, I do lose myself and completely miss the bus back home
  18. I'm 19 and love reading, have done since I was a child Every time I am in town I have to visit the book shop, and I am ashamed to say, buy a book or two even though I have at least 20 books at home in my TBR pile What I hate is teenagers on social networking sites that put under the option of favourite book "I don't read" or "reading sux" (sux! I hate that word!). It also winds me up when some guy puts down something like Playboy or Nuts magazine... they asked for favourite books
  19. Re-reading Chamber of Secrets, I really do feel so sorry for Dobby. Did the film ruin anyones view of him? He was much different from what I expected, but I still imagine him being very cute and lovely Now Winky! That is one house-elf I do not like I've read Lockhart's chapter today! Oh my god! He reminds me of my old English teacher! My English teacher would tell us really over the top stories that obviously wasn't true, would keep getting out an English Language book that he wrote and kept saying "I wrote this, look, my names on the front", and would contantly go on about how he hadn't washed his (curly blonde) hair with shampoo for years and how it never goes greasy, and also how he only brushes his teeth with water and they are all shiny white. I think we had the real life Gilderoy Lockhart teaching us shame he is now Head of the English department (I also hope he is not reading this )
  20. Actually I haven't yet as it is one of those books that I've seen and liked the look off but I haven't actually heard anything about from other people so I always put it off and say next time I go shopping I will buy it.

The Hobbit is amazing! A fantastic read and is much easier to read than LOTR. Beware, it is one of those books which is difficult to put down. I actually read this before LOTR and thought Tolkiens writing style was so simple I wondered why people moaned about LOTR being so difficult - but now I see as he does like to ramble on about scenery. You should really read it after HP ;)

  21. Hi, I'm Kelly :)

Honestly, I love reading any genre :) A few favourites are the Potter books, Twilight, LOTR, Pullmans books, Anne Rice books, Dan Brown, Jeffery Deaver, some chick lit that I am sure you won't be interested in =P Japanese books such as Ring, Spiral, Battle Royale, and I have some classics on the TBR pile such as Jane Austen. That is when I finally get the nerve =P Oooo and I would also love to start on my dad's Robert Jordan collection =)

    What about you?

  22. Will do Back on topic, do you think JK will ever write another spin off book? I would love her to but feel like she shouldn't as that just gives us hope that there will be new Potter books If she ever does write Magical Me I would hope it is like reading something Clarkson writes. They are both arrogant
  23. I really hate hearing stories like this. I can imagine she wrote something really bad that wouldn't get published and wants to make money in some way.
  24. The first two were never my favourites so it has been a bit boring, but I know it will pick up with the next book I went to my boyfriends house today, showed him my battered copy of CoS that I have had since I was 11 (I'm now 19) and he won't let me swap mine for his beautiful copy
