  1. I liked the epilogue in a way because it is nice to find out what they are like when they are older. Always interesting when Jo gives us new news about the characters as well. The epilogue let me down in a way because it was like a fairy tale with the happily ever after theme. Everything was so perfect for them.

It wasn't perfect for me though, not with

    Dobby and Snape dead :irked:

I wasn't too keen on the epilogue - far too "and they lived happily ever after" for me. I would have preferred that she hadn't bothered with it as I think that it ruined the ending a bit for me.

  2. I quite enjoyed last night's special. :o I agree with Michelle that Lee Evans was too over the top, though it was funny how he got his own back by hanging up on the Doctor, who was well miffed! :)

That UNIT commander was rather ruthless, ordering them to close the wormhole before everyone came back.

I thought straight away that it will be The Master who will come back and "kill" the Doctor, because the psychic lady on the bus said something like "he knocks four times", and I just thought of the drum beat The Master used to tap on the table, which was four beats. But I'm probably completely wrong!

ooooh, I hadn't thought about the knock 4 times thing, but that makes perfect sense! I'll miss David as the Doctor :irked:

  3. Angels and Demons was my favourite. I thought that the locations and subject matter were really interesting. I also found it slightly more believable than the Da Vinci Code if that makes any sense? I think that I may have liked the Da Vinci Code more than I did if it didn't have all of the hype surrounding it, although I did still enjoy it.

  4. Turns out I'm not so patient either, Kimmy! :irked: I found a pretty decently-priced copy today and could not control myself. I started reading when I got home and am now at Part 2. I need serious help... LOL

I felt the same way as you about Jacob in New Moon, Bee, so we'll see what I think of him in this one.

You have done so well to wait this long! I read it in one day - think my b/f thought that I had moved out as I stayed in the bedroom reading for hours and hours....

  5. Sorry, Michelle.

I haven't read through the books for a second time yet, but I have a feeling if I did I'd be skipping bits for some reason. Hopefully one of these days I'll find a cheap copy of Breaking Dawn (since I haven't even read that one yet) and will complete the series.

I was going to wait for a cheap copy of Breaking Dawn, but I couldn't! I'm so impatient!!!

  6. WHoops.

    That's twice now.

    Sorry Michelle :irked:

Books - Much as I'm enjoying the 1st book, I'm finding it harder to get through the second time than the first time. I don't really know why, I just can't make myself read much of it at any given time.

I think that I enjoyed it more on the second (and third) reads. I couldn't put it down the first time that I read it so I rushed through it whereas I take my time now.

  7. I started this years ago on a recommendation but couldn't really get into it - I thought perhaps because I was a bit younger. I'm going to give it another go.

I'm glad that I am not the only one who couldn't get in to it Roxi. I gave up a little way in to the book as I really wasn't enjoying it. It is one of the very few books that I have started and not finished. Maybe give it another go at some point in the future.

  8. Although those photos of him in the latest GQ are mighty nice ;).

I know he's supposed to be 'undead' in the movie, but the white caked-on makeup bugs me after awhile. I think he looks much more appealing in the restaurant scene - a little warmer.

Oh yeah and Kimmy what is your BF even doing in the room while you're trying to watch the extras??!! You need your alone time w/Edward, doesn't he know that? lol

I know!! The cheek of it - talking all through it when I was trying to concentrate. I'll have to stay up late so I can watch it in peace when he has gone to bed :)

  9. I loooooooooove music!! My iPod never leaves my side!

Foo Fighters are my all time favourite band. I try to see them everytime they are touring. Dave Grohl - what a legend.

I used to like RHCP until I saw them live and they totally changed my opinion about them. It looked like they didn't want to be there at all which isn't good when you have just spent your hard earned cash to go and see them. :D Maybe they were just having an 'off' day though, as a lot of you think that they are ace live.

Stereophonics are really REALLY good live. I was never really in to them until I saw them perform and now I am at every gig I can get to. Plus, Kelly isn't too bad to look at either :eek2:

  10. Its quite a bit different in the book!! I imagined the Cullen House to look a lot different than it did in the film. I imagined panelled walls and stuff. I also thought that Edward's room would be massive!

I also love Jasper in the baseball scene - Emmett was really good as well. Definately my favourite scene in the film.

I like the canteen scene - it's good as you know that they can all hear what Jessica is saying!!

  11. yeah, she wasn't scared at all in the film really. With Edward, I think they tried to show his struggle, ie in the biology scene, but from then on, he was pretty much fine and didn't really seem to struggle being around Bella at all. He quite happily puts his arm around her when they get out of the car at school without any hesitation.

They tried to show Jaspers struggle, but he just looked petrified!!!
