  1. Did anyone see tonight's? *gasp* at the end!
  2. I read the first one recently and really enjoyed it. It is a nice light read, slightly predictable and Becky gets annoying but it also has some funny moments. I will definitely be reading the rest of the series.
  3. First there was the mystery of the film star and the diamond... then came the 'suicide' that was murder... the mystery of the absurdly cheap flat... a suspicious death in a locked gun-room... a million dollar bond robbery... the curse of a pharoah's tomb... a jewel robbery by the sea... the abduction of a Prime Minister... the disappearance of a banker... a phone call from a dying man... and, finally, the mystery of the missing will. What links these fascinating cases? Only the brilliant deductive powers of Hercule Poirot! I found this quite bitty - but then it was a collection of short stories. All the cases were interesting, varied and detailed. I give it 6/10 - I prefer the longer cases.
  4. Yep Reading TV Choice this week looks sad:cry2:
  5. Sky a few years back but she and Kerry left.
  6. I really can't see Bridget and Declan as parents but I guess anything can happen in a soap...
  7. I prefer paperbacks because, although hardbacks look nice on the shelf and come out sooner, paperbacks are cheaper and easier to carry around.
  8. His descriptions although sometimes long winded give a really good picture of the era and countryside. Only small plot events happen as you get started but it gets better and more interesting, so persevere with it !
  9. Well, I have to read it for my English Lit. coursework and I haven't read it before so reading it and analysing it at the same time is annoying and a bit hard going. I'm finding there is not much going on at the moment but the language Hardy uses is lovely.
  10. I really loved the Noughts and Crosses series, but I felt that the last one was slightly detached from the others. The rest were great though and tackle some serious issues that are relevant to today.
  11. I didn't like her either. I hope she doesn't have too many big story lines while Kym Valentine is off, it would be weird, especially with Dan!
  12. Thanks! I can't wait to read the Forgotten Garden. I read Kate Morton's The House at Riverton and loved it. I'm hoping to read it soon. I've read so much about it on here and it sounds really good.

  14. Ditto but I did finish it - it stayed in my mind for a long time afterwards though.
  15. Neat. My Dad plays acoustic - but not brilliantly!
  16. I loved it too. It was just the variety of the job and playing African drums with 8 year olds was awesome!
  17. I haven't really done much that exciting yet but I attend the local music center regularly, did work experience there (now thinking about becoming a music teacher!) and in march i'm taking part in the regional round of a national music festival. What sort of bands did you play in?
  18. I play alto sax but I do have a friend who plays Tenor and I love the sound of it. I'd also love to be able to play the guitar.
  19. Mainly Flute, Saxophone and Piano but I also play Piccolo and Recorder. Do you play any Mick?
  20. It's ok. Did you used to watch it or do you still?
  21. At primary school we used to dress up on the day and get the voucher. Now I don't usually do anything but i'd join in any event on here as they are all really good ideas.
  22. 1. I am an only child 2. I am allergic to Guinea Pigs but would like one as a pet. 3. I play 5 Instruments 4. My favourite TV programmes are Friends and Neighbours 5. I have a hamster called Cookie
  23. yes, but he's not as evil as he was!
  24. I'm a Ringo and Ty fan, although Ringo can be annoying but him and Donna are sweet. Do you think Bridget should keep or lose ? (Spoiler incase people haven't seen recent episodes.)
