Thanks I like the way the colour brings out a certain atmosphere within it, at the time i took it, i was looking for potential shelter to get out of the rather abrupt rainstorm which ensued and then i just thought maybe that crumbling farmhouse will make a good pic! I didn't think much of it at the time, but sometimes you find something unexpected, which is always the highlight of doing art i feel
  4. Welcome!
  5. I want to really get into this series, i have the first and second, but have yet to read the second. I really loved The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe though
  6. More mash with whatever i pick up today as i have very little food left so need to use it up
  7. It is brilliant (imo!), it takes a while to get into, but once your into the story, it's really deep and you do get emotionally attached to the characters and everything which goes on
  8. Hey there's nothing wrong with beans on toast, i have that all too often
  9. Was too tired to make mash last night so had mini roast potatoes. Tonight, i think using the last of the food which i have in, mash, chicken chargrill glazed with honey and some mixed veg i thiiiiink
  10. Great news
  11. Haha I had a totally different writer come up as a result earlier, it's difficult to find anything concrete without knowing much about the novel myself. I don't even know if that is the novel Hugh is searching for, as there's little information i can find about that particular author :S
  12. Another chapter of At the Mountains of Madness by Lovecraft
  13. After much trawling with the info in your post, i managed to find a site which sells a first edition http://www.antiqbook.com/boox/novel/9137.shtml I suspect it is difficult to find as this particular novel may be out of print. It is by an author called E V Timms. Here is a site which sells more copies: http://www.biblioz.com/search.php And just type in the author's name and the novel title. Hope this helps!
  14. Something with mash tonight! Maybe chicken chargrill glazed with honey, mash, gravy, stuffing and mixed vegetables
  15. I had ham and cheese sandwiches as i'm not too hungry tonight
  16. When i'm earning moneys again i think i shall invest in lots of cool bookmarks to celebrate

    Hello

    Welcome
  19. I didn't even bother watching the film adaptation of Eragon as i'd heard so much about how terrible it was
  20. Roast potatoes, mixed vegetables, gravy and sausages i think
  21. I don't know if this has been mentioned, but Birdsong by Sebastian Faulks is an amazing book, it is set in World War I which i know doesn't relate to the discussion, but it is a war novel and the themes are very relavent i feel, and it really stuck with me long after i read it, i did a very detailed World War unit in A-Level literature and seriously enjoyed it and this was one of the novels which gave me a lot of insight and information into life during such horrifying times.
  22. I had a rather scary dream. For some reason i was wandering the city at night and then i saw my mate and he dragged me through a crowd to a gate, and i was like what? And then we saw Tim Minchin and he came and signed some autographs and then i told him i thought it was really cool how he interacted with his fans even though i don't know much about him and he was like :D cool. Then these skanky girls shoved me out of the way  Was freakyy.

  23. Welcome to BCF Sophie I have not checked out Bag of Bones myself, but am an avid Stephen King fan and have read a lot of his works. It always looks interesting when i check out the blurb whilst browsing bookshops and the like, and i think i will read it eventually. I'm sure some other forum members may have read it and would share their opinions. Glad you are enjoying it!
  24. I had sausages, potato smilies, beans and gravy, t'was very simple but yummy
