I have to admit, I only read this because it was a requirement of me for A-level English and I hated it. Boring middle class women who didn't have much to do.

I read Litte Women, Little Men and Jo's Boys when I was a child. I quite enjoyed them.

It took me years to finish Jane Eyre, I started it at 14 and finished it in my 20s. No it was not on my school book list, a friend recommended it. I liked the beginning but couldn't feel anything for her getting the job as governess and falling for Mr. Rochester. It was whent things turned to this that I put the book down for some years.

In Sherilyn Kenyon's Darkhunter series she uses the phrase "against his/her will" in lusty moments.

No time limit. I'll read as I please.

I've only just read Twilight.
-
I've read the first two as well.

I go by the name of Harper, and I did a terrible thing in my past - something I have regretted everyday since. Now a train has derailed in my tiny town, and a young, pregnant, now-motherless child with skin the color of blackberries is asking for my help. It may be my chance for redemption...
I am curious Bethany, what is the name of this book?

I first got hooked on reading about a girl who created an imaginary friend
Enid Byton with The Famous Five (I wanted to be George), The Faraway Tree, and those boarding school books.
The Hardy Boys mysteries
Nancy Drew
The Chronicles of Narnia (I spent all my lunchtime at school reading the whole series. I forgot to eat lunch sometimes).
Kidnapped
Animal Farm

I loved reading the book. I watched the film first as a child and wanted to read the book from then. Litlle sis bawled her eyes out when watching the film I didn't.

I've read Small Island, I like the fact that no character is demonised. There's good and bad in all of them. You actually come to care about what happpens to them.

I just personally couldn't enjoy;
Pride and Predudice
The last Harry Potter book

It used to be mainly male authors but over the last few years female authors seem to dominate my choices. I'm not into romance books unless there's something else going on besides romance.

Which book is this??
Jim Butcher's Storm Front, first of the Dresden Files.
I'm a music-writing vampire who's been sent to the UK by his cousins to find his aunt/their mother. I've just found my lifemate and want to turn her to the eternal life.Hmm sound like some Carpathians involved.

I am a wizard who is searching for a missing man. I am also on consultation to the police on a double murder that seems to be done by black magic.

The only time it would be "was" is if the text was mentioning the agency as a singular entity, i.e. "The agency was about to go under." The book had it right.
And no, I couldn't in all good conscience write in a book. I've spotted loads of errors in books as I'm reading them (one of the worst was The Godfather by Mario Puzo - my copy was RIDDLED with errors!), but I couldn't bring myself to actually mark them up, I sell al ot of my books on and swap out others and I wouldn't want to receive a copy that had been written in, and I definitely wouldn't write in a book that didn't belong to me - that's even worse!
This is correct as far as I know. I don't dare deface books in anyway especially a borrowed/library book. I have been suprised when I've come across corrections written in. I might get a little annoyed if the grammar is not prefect in a text and I can see it wasn't dialogue or a type of writing style but I sometimes make mistakes with my grammar too. Hey I'm human;) There's also the fact some American spellings are different to British spellings.

I use both shops (2nd hand/charityshops mostly)and online. I preffer online since it is easier to get a specific book and there's more variety for different genres. In shops most times I'd have to enquire after a book only to be told it may have to be ordered in if I'm lucky. Other times I get told that "it is an imported book I'm afraid", meaning if may take up to a month if ordered or my request is futile. I also make use of my local libraries so I'm not always buying books.

I am a woman who enjoys basking in the sun and baking. I live in post Vodoo Wars America, in New Arcardia. I was bait for a vampire and I have vampires out to get me. Some aquaintances from the local Others police force want my help. I am the daughter of powerful sorceror but I am my mother's daughter most of all, an average working woman in my 20s with a few suprises.

I've just got this book. The story is told by main character's point of view. It seems okay although the main character Sunshine, does go off on a rant about her origins in bits of the story as Scarlette has already mentioned. The list of weres are various even a skunk were was mentioned. Sunshine seems to be more than meets the eye and she's a good baker too.

I'm currently in Heleron. I'm a beetle kinden young woman, a college student who has just begun her life as a spy without the benfit of lots of training, needs must:lol: My fellow college students and I have to stay above the game from the Wasp Empire and its dominance crusade. Many around us don't believe the Wasp Empire will invade and neither do they care. I've already had to fly by the seat of my pants, literally!

At present I'm enjoying the sci-fi/fantasy especially with strong women roles but it would be nice to see less of the leather clad women and those Barbie types who accidentally get themselves into an adventure whilst still worrying about the latest fashion.
Mary Shelley - Frankenstein
in The Classics

I loved this book. What stood out for me was the poingnant parent and child relationship. Frankenstein did not see himself as being responsible for his new child/creation even though he had not turned out as Frankenstein had wished. He did eventually take responsibility but the price of this was high.
