  1. Shocking Pink by Erica Spindler No. of pages: 498 Rating: 4/5 Synopsis: They were only watching. The mysterious lovers the three girls spied on were engaged in a deadly sexual game no one else was supposed to know about. Especially not Andie and her friends, whose curiosity had deepened into a dangerous obsession... Now, fifteen years later, someone is watching Andie. Someone who won't let her forget the unsolved murder of "Mrs. X" or the disappearance of "Mr. X." Suddenly Andie doesn't know who her friends are . . . because loyalty can be murder. Andie. Julie. Raven. Three very different women bound by more than friendship. Review: When 15 year olds Andie, Julie and Raven see a couple having disturbingly kinky sex in an empty house, they decide to watch to see what happens with the couple they dubb 'Mr & Mrs X'. But when 'Mrs X' is found dead, the girls are frightened, but when 'Mr X' isn't found, they move on with their lives. Until 15 years later, when 'Mr X' reappears, sending them scary messages to let them know he's back in town. This is one of Erica's earlier books and is more 'Mills & Boon' than her current books, and I found it to be quite a different read to the others I've read by her. I did enjoy it, but found all the kinky sex a bit too much, and I didn't think there was enough of the thrilling story that I'm used to from this author. I would definitely recommend her later books, such as See Jane Die and Copycat.
  2. I thought pigs in blankets were sausages wrapped in bacon? Edit: Okay I've just checked, in the UK it's sausage in bacon, in the US it's sausages wrapped in dough
  3. We had a BBQ, so it was meat, meat, meat!!
  4. I thought House of Wax was hilarious just because it was so utterly rubbish, but I agree, Paris dying is the best bit
  5. Sounds like you had a great time with your mom :D And yeah, I can imagine it's rather crazy looking for such different restaurants! Things here are good, too hot atm, so I'm staying indoors alot rather going outside and melting! It's our 4 year anniversary in a few weeks, so we're both looking forward to that :)

  6. The series is already airing it's second season
  7. So glad you've enjoyed the books (And I'm also glad that someone else knows about Erica, she's a hidden gem over here it seems )
  8. The new New Moon cover ~ What do you think? I personally don't like it...at all!
  9. 'You brought this on yourself by being a cheating, disloyal wh*re.' 'Stop it! You're sick.' Erica Spindler - Shocking Pink
  10. I hope you enjoy it when you get around to reading it :) x How are things going with you btw?

  11. That's lovely Kell
  12. My Sister's Keeper and Marley and Me are both great books
  13. My lovely friend Paula sent me a Edward bookmark in the post today, it's the one I've been wanting for ages with the tassle and beads, can you tell I'm chuffed!? Thank you so much Paula, you're too kind to me!!
  14. Mac, this series is nothing like Twilight, and is definitely aimed at a more adult market. I really enjoyed the whole series, and I know lots of other people have too, boys included (I wouldn't say this is a series aimed at just females at all), you should try the first one and just see if it's something you could enjoy
  15. I thought maybe he was talking about 2 choices in life, thinking about which path to take and taking the road less travelled. At the end he wonders what it would have been like if he'd taken the other path, but feels the path he chose has turned out to be a good choice so he doesn't think he'll go back. That's just a guess though I know nothing about poetry
  16. Yeah I agree Bethany, she really does her research and it shows in her books
  17. I will :D I love her books and have almost all of them now ^^ Do you like her books too?

  18. She is, I completely agree, and she makes you sympathise with the person who's meant to be 'the bad guy' but you can see it from all angles and kind of feel it from all sides of the story. Like with Anna and Kate/the parents, you can see how Anna doesn't want to do it, but also that her family want her to do it to save Kate, it must be a terrible situation
  19. Hmm...I really like that it flicks between them all, but I guess Anna is my favourite, closely followed by Kate. Especially the bit where (Don't read that Roxi, I'm sure you've not gotten there yet.) I was talking to my friend about this book the other day, she reads a little but not much and only chick-lit type books when she does read, but she picked it up and is really enjoying it, so that's good
  20. Welcome to the ranks Kookie, sure you don't want to come too Charm? haha
  21. I'm a woman who has messed with dodgy sexual practices in my past, now someone is holding me to blame for two deaths and coming after me!
