  1. I love those too! Specially with their matching dip.
  2. I hope if any in cork close they at least reduce all their stock a lot so I can run away with most of their books
  3. That is the kinda writing I like. I love fairies, any especially any related to celtic (or norse) folklore.
  4. I cannot STAND audiobooks. I presume you mean my 'what am I reading now' under my AVATAR And yes. Its the second in a series of 3, the 1st and 3rd are related (and the 1st is a load of tosh, just with a brilliant concept and easy reading) but the 2nd is unrelated with different characters in the same world, and its much better. I agree entirely!! Thats why I keep buying them
  5. Get your thump out? Ummm *scans shelf* Poor ole Jane Austen's been sitting up there a while, I had one book originally but now its up to three, I'm enjoying buying them more than reading them Also not touched any Jodi Picoult. I think maybe I'm just not in the mood for those kinda stories, be they classic or modern. Atm I'm reading an adult fairy tale (I'm classing it as adult, because I wouldn't in a mad fit give it to a young adult below 17 with the amount of profanity, drug use and psychological weirdness.) After that I'm reading, on Lexie's suggestion, The Time Traveller's Wife, which is still a bit fantasy/sci-fi, and before these I was reading What Dreams May Come (Bangsian Fantasy/Philosophy) and The Coldfire Trilogy, which is also fantasy/sci-fi. I do wanna get into the likes of Jodi Picoult and stuff, I'm just not in the mood right now.
  6. No, you're not mad or anything, I've heard that comparison too
  7. Interesting. This book just became a must-read for me. According to wiki, the author writes on the condition having worked with austistic kids. Closest you can get, I suppose, without having it.
  8. I like genius. I like actual fairies, as opposed to wizardry. And I believe Artemis is written by an Irish dude, so wahey. I find I tend to think better of what people claim are 'clones' of things, rather than the 'originals.' Definately going to give this series a go.
  9. This is interesting... I was going to give Artemis a go a couple years back, but thought it might be too childish. But in two people's opinions (so far) it rivals Harry Potter? I might give the first book a go - I hate Harry Potter but thats just those books, not all books like it.
  10. Yes. I snack so much I skip actual meals.
  11. I'm totally gonna have to buy BBQ pringles when I'm out shopping later. You should work in advertising. Well, no, maybe I'm just a sucker for Pringles.
  12. I think you should give all your BBQ Pringles to me.
  13. Haha ahh I'm only kidding. I can make my own tea quite well
  14. And didn't offer me one? Well now. Welllll now.
  15. Hurrah! Think I might have to make some tea now....
  16. I'd love to see your bookshelf, Enthusiast, messy or not. Many bookshelves on here belong to adults who've been accumulating books for years. I'd love to see a younger person's bookshelf
  17. I see your 'jam on toast', and raise you 'jam on toast, with tea.'
  18. I want a pile of books from my early teen years. Might buy them off amazon. I want: The Castle In The Attic - Elizabeth Winthrop The Battle For The Castle - E. Winthrop Del Del - Victor Kelleher Catchman - Chris Wooding The Shell House - Linda Newbery The Damage Done - L. Newbery
  19. We don't do Bonfire Night in Ireland, so not really My birthday makes me think of Christmas though! And I love Christmas.
  20. Ohh I forgot about that! Is Dick Richard now? Thats stupid though. Its a book, and if someone is too immature to read a book with kids called Fannie or Dick, then they're obviously not old enough to handle Blyton reading material.
  21. *hugs* of course for Lexie, though you already get loads from me Thread about older brothers, wahey! In more detail: mine used to hate me when I was small, but I idolized him haha. He was always great with computers, so I tried to learn too, and failed. I used to read the books he read and watch the movies he watched and even ate the food he ate He never noticed though. Now hes extremely quiet, but he's great. Our house is a fabulous detached cottage with gardens and i've a double bed and bay windows and everything. But I couldn't live here if he didn't pay well over half the rent (he also pays the bills) just so we can both live here. Hes great really, in his own quiet way. Course, he benefits too because he loves this house and doesn't have to live with students, but still.
  22. Haha, your mom is too nice about me=P

Hmm I may have a look through some of my old book favourites from when I was your age and give you some ideas! :D

  23. Awhh close, but no cigar as they say
  24. No problem! I managed to make you smile already in a thread so I'm doing well  Hope you enjoy it here x
