  1. Yeah, I remember about
  2. People are getting that quote tattooed.
  3. I've only read the last one once.
  4. Aw, I really need to re-read these soon, I've forgotten too much.
  5. See, when someone says "Oh, Noughts & Crosses is :censored:" or "Twilight is :censored:". It just makes me love the books more, I guess because they then become more personal. I can usually see their points too, but it either doesn't bother me or it's a bonus for the book. It does really annoy me when someone slates a book that they've never read though.
  6. Nope, had no idea! Pfft.
  7. I kinda like when people don't like my favourite books. I'm not sure why.
  8. How could I forget about these?? I used to love them books!

    Non Fiction

The only non-fiction I read are the occasional autobiography and Psychology textbooks. Otherwise, I usually prefer fiction.
  10. I was talking about these the other day with my flatmate. I used to love them, but they did used to scare me too. I liked the Babysitter's Club too.
  11. Oh, it's in the film where I can't stand it. But then, I wasn't keen on the line in the book anyway . Some of my favourites quotes from the series come from Eclipse and Breaking Dawn, I laughed out loud several times.
  12. I actually loathe that line. It's my least favourite in the entire movie. The way he says it, his face, the words. All of it!
  13. Welcome to the forum
  14. I can't believe I forgot to mention Twiglets. I love them.
  15. I bought this book from Amazon and it was posted on the 23rd March...it still hasn't arrived.
  16. Breaking Dawn is my friend's favourite book of the four...that confuses me quite a lot. I don't really get how it could be anyone's favourite. I mean, I think I like it more than the average fan but it's not the best by a long shot. I agree, Just watching Twilight with my Mum, and I quote: [Edward walks into the canteen] "I know he's a vampire, Katie, but why is he so pale??" [Edward saves Bella] Mum- "How the hell did he do that?" Katie - "He's a vampire, Mum..." And my sister asked me the other day - "You know when Bella walks into the classroom and he pulls that face, is it because she's eaten garlic?" ^ It was so hard to keep a straight face, it amused me so much.
  17. Wow, really? I really felt for a few of the characters, so much that I cried at the end! I've read Eden Close by her too, but didn't think as much to that one.
  18. Welcome to the forum. I love your avatar. Gorgeous!!
  19. I really enjoyed The Reader. But I agree on the most part, it definitely could've had more it.
  20. I'm going to change my avatar to my (2nd) fav Edward & Bella picture, as I can't find the first. On topic, I can't wait to re-read them, I'll have to wait until after my exams are over though! I think I was more interested in Jasper & Alice too. You're right Kimmy, it would have been good to learn a bit more about Esme.
  21. I do tend to prefer non-movie covers but I'm not totally against it. I do have the Slumdog Millionaire one and my cover of Boy A is from the TV adaptation (but I quite like that cover). I think my main reason for avoiding them is the representation factor. Similar to if I watch a movie before I read the book, then I imagine the characters/locations/etc as shown in the movie, and I prefer to create and imagine them myself from the descriptions. When a book has the actors on the front, then I tend to imagine the characters as the actors, as I tend to look at the front cover quite a lot. Also, I always think the book is seperate from the movie. A movie is merely an adaptation, it'll never be an exact replica, it could never be. So, the book should look different and remain with it's original cover. PLUS, they're usually a lot better. E.g. The Reader. Just think..they'll release a New Moon one with Jacob on the cover.
  22. How can you not recognize that neck? It's Robert Pattinson's!
  23. I love the Baseball scene, I think it's the best one in the whole movie. Here though, I couldn't agree with you more. I would go as far as to say that I hate the meadow scene. It's awkward, cringe-worthy, badly acted and absolutely nothing like I imagined. The line 'You're like a drug to me' makes me want to crawl into a hole every single time. And it bothers me that he pulls a twig out to demonstrate his strength, c'mon!!! At least pull a whole tree out of the ground, argh. And the sparkling? Awful. ....Still love the movie though.
  24. Me too! I can't yet though..they're in Leicester and I'm not
