  1. Save The Last Dance For Me ~ The Drifters
  2. Let's Dance For Sports Relief.
  3. That's got to be from the brilliant and timeless 'Withnail and I' hasn't it?
  4. I know this is regarding a tapestry rather than cross stitching as such, but I thought this was lovely, and hoped this was the thread to in which to post this link . The picture of the entire thing looks terrific.
  5. Regular. Black and white modern photographs OR colour?
  6. Alone On A Wide Wide Sea ~ Michael Murpurgo
  7. I absolutely adore Freebird, I haven't heard it in ages. I will have to youtube it.
  8. I am sitting here watching an advert for Corsodyl mouthwash. The camera pans up a naked girl who is standing in a field. It's advertising mouthwash for goodness sake ~ why do I want to see a girl's b*m to convince me that I need mlouthwash?!
  9. The Old Man And the Sea ~ Ernest Hemingway
  10. OH is in the next room, and Simon Baker has won my telly affections for an hour ~ I've set the video to record Criminal Minds. Happy Bunny here!
  11. Mastermind
  12. The Time Traveler's Wife ~ Audrey Niffenegger
  13. Chicken breast spread with Korma paste and wrapped in thin bacon strips, served with rice. I wonder why I haven't lost any weight lately?
  14. Mastermind and after that, whatever takes my fancy. If other half is on the PC (in the next room) it will be a choice 'tween 'Criminal Minds' or 'The Mentalist'. If he is with me, then whatever he fancies watching. I'm that kind of wife!* * I also know they'll both be repeated, so I'll catch up with them eventually!
  15. They should be stand alones mainly, although you will have the occasional story arc episodes that are helped by having a bit of knowledge (but not essential). I have only ever watched the CSI that is based in Las Vegas. They are equally interesting and formulaic, a kind of James Patterson story on telly!
  16. A man with a mission, and what a worthy one to have.
  17. I'm already counting how many copies I will be getting as pressies (alongside my own precious copy!).
  18. You'll always be ned to us!
  19. I was watching a programme last night where a british male was working alongside a Polish (I think) man. When he was introduced, he said to his supervisor "I'll call him Bill, it's easier". His supervisor responded with something like "He would prefer to be called by his actual name". If I have difficulty knowing the pronunciation of someone's name, I ask and try very hard to get it right! It really shouldn't be that hard to do should it?
  20. Those are both blummin interesting ned! It wasn't today, but I learned this week that the name Pakistan is an acronym! P = Punjab A = Afghania K = Kashmir I = Indus Valley S = Sindh T = Turkharistan A = Afghanistan N = BalochistaN Additionally Stan means land of /home of, and the word Pak means pure, so it has the meaning 'Land Of The Pure'.
  21. I have thought of two more authors for you JCW! Nelson DeMille writes a good thrilling tale, and David Linsey is an author I have been pleasantly surprised by.
