  2. i would say Pet Sematry or Misery, they seem to be ones that most people like, The Stand is his best book by far i think but its huge, the copy i read was 1400 pages it might be a bit much for someones first time. sorry if that sounds patronising i really didnt mean it that way

  4. Stephen King The Stand which i would say is one of if not the best book i have ever read, a lot of Dean Koontz ones, James Herbert, they are my favorite three authors, i have always been the same, i used to love The Famous Five as a kid and could only read those once.

  7. hi all so far i have read Mark Billingham Lazybones, Cody Mcfayden Shadow man both of which i give an 8 out of ten. i am now reading Mark Billingham The Burning Girl.
  8. i have tried to read a few but i prefer fiction, the only two i have ever finished are Frank Skinner and Dickie Bird

  11. I'm not sure if this is a quirk or not but i just cannot ever read the same book twice even if i have really enjoyed it.
  12. i read Esquire everymonth and BBC Wildlife and Birdwatching magazines when i remember to buy them. oh and the programmes i get when i go and see the mighty West Bromwich Albion play, do they count as magazines????

  14. i finished reading a book at about 8 o'clock last night, normally i would wait until the next day to start another one but Mrs Baggiesfan was watching Dancing On Ice which bores me silly so i started another book straight away which is unusual for me i was just wondering if everyone else is the same?

  17. i just think the Americans do TV much better than we do, all we seem to have are endless "reality" shows and soaps, they have things like The West Wing The Sopranos Prison Break Six Feet Under 24 Rescue Me and so on the only thing i think we have done that even comes close in the last few years was Life On Mars
  18. the only station i really listen to is Five Live i used to love Talksport but it may as well be called white van man am now
  19. i wouldnt say it was that, i just didnt like it it was all too far fetched for me, although i love 24 and most people would say the same about that lol
  20. i watched about 12 episodes of the first series its just not for me, i love american tv and thought i would love lost but i just didnt.
  21. i have read a few of his mainly the old ones he is very good but i found them all a bit "samey" as in you have read one and you have read them all.

Hi all, just recently i have gotten into crime fiction after years of being a horror fan, my mom is always recommending the Rebus series to me i was just wondering if they need to be read in order or not, thanks in advance and if anyone can reccomend any more good authors like him that would be great
  23. i read a book of hers called Nothing To Fear while i was on holiday last year and really enjoyed it
  24. i read delores claibourne by stephen king in one sitting it was only 180 pages
