  1. Hi, just wanted to say I love your avatar! it`s great, I adore Eyore.

  2. Hi, thank you, it took me ages to find something suitable and find out how to add it! I`m not technically minded at all!! you on the other hand are obviously a pro, you change so often - miss seeing those lips you know! I finished The Surgeon LATE last night, and I`ve started The Apprentice this morning, really enjoyed it, so glad I found this forum, or I still wouldn`t have heard of T.G. Are you still reading one of hers? think I`m as hooked as you now! I`ll be logging in at the library later to order the next one ready. Have a good day Charm, hope your weathers better than ours, it`s foul here! Take care.

  3. Hope you enjoy Dead Simple, it`s certainly easier reading than the one you`re finishing! Have a good weekend, take care.

  4. Well done on the good start to your challenge, keep it up! I`m putting " A Thousand Splendid Suns" on my christmas list, (The Kite Runner too) you made it sound so good. I see you`re reading Second Glance as well, what do you think of it? I`ve got it ready to read next. Take care. x

  5. Thanks for the friend request! I haven`t heard of that book, has it taken forever `cause it`s heavy going or a "doorstep?" I`ve just started The Surgeon by Tess Gerritsen, it`s very good! so I`ve got the follow up ready to read as well, from the library,(hadn`t heard of her `til I joined BCF!) hope you enjoy Dead Simple, my mum-in-law thought it was so good she brought the others in the series. Happy reading, take care.

  6. Sounds like Littlehampton was the place to be!

Remember you`re only as old as you feel, & I feel extremely old at the moment, hey-ho. My 2 grandchildren are 8 & 15months, I`m sure the years are going by quicker since they were born too.Wouldn`t be without them though. Take care.

  7. Hi there, just finished Dead Simple! so thought I`d let you know what I thought. It was a pretty good read, a good plot, unexpected twists, I lost interest a short way through, but persevered and it turned into a real pageturner, very exciting.Worth reading, so enjoy it when you get to it.

  8. You seem to have described Brighton quite nicely," full of buzz?" that`s putting it mildly! I live out of the town, in Woodingdean, much quieter, work here too, so luckily don`t need to face the madness of the town too often! I don`t know Littlehampton that well, used to bring the children there for a day at the beach, so much better than the stoney beaches here, but it was always windy & chilly! that seems a long time ago, they`re all grown up now & I have 2 granchildren. How many granchildren do you have? Take care

  9. Dennis Wheatley........did say a long time ago!

I`ve heard of Dean Koontz, never read him though, would you reccomend him?

& I reckon as long as you enjoy reading that`s all that matters really. Take care.

  10. Thanks for the welcome, good to meet you. I`m from Brighton, born & bred here. As you can tell not very adventurous! Do you know Brighton?

  11. Can`t remember if I said hello or not, but I`ll say it again anyway HI! hope your ok.

  12. Hiya, yes it is a really good forum, it`s got a really good feel, if you know what I mean. Know what you mean about the reading time too, can`t believe how quickly the time goes once you log in. I`m sure we`ll sort ourselves out, so we get time to read & checkout BCF, at least I hope so!

  13. Hi, thanks for your message, welcome to the club yourself. I used to enjoy a horror story now & again, mainly Stephen King or a long time ago I was a fan of Dennis Wheatley, one thing this site is doing, is to make me think about trying different types of books (can`t think of the word I want) again, vary my reading more. Good to meet you.

  14. Hi Bella, how are you doing? I`m just trying to work out the finer points on here, enjoying it but muddling through! hope you`re making a better job of it.

  15. Trying to find my way round so forgive the delay, or you might find yourself inundated! I notice you like a couple of my favourite authors Jeffery Deaver (esp. Lincoln Rhymes) and Jonathan Kellerman, I`ve got "Gone" ready to read next. good to meet you.
