I would really like to read, and enjoy, Charles Dickens. Unfortunately I was put off him when I was at school and had to read Great Expectations for an exam, I really tried but just couldn`t get into it. Needless to say I failed the exam, but worse than that I`ve never been able to bring myself to try reading him again. Do you think A Christmas Carol would be a good place to start?

I really enjoyed Blackberry Wine and Five quarters of the orange. Haven`t read any other books by Joanne Harris, other than Chocolat.

..... those books about Myron Bolitar just don't click well with me probably because Myron himself annoys me, oh well. Harlan Coben is very good, I haven`t read any stand alone books yet but I`ve enjoyed the couple of Myron Bolitar stories that I have read. Charm reinforce that shelf & give him ago, it will be worth it!

If I know what books I want, I reserve them online, then just pop in to pick them up. If I want something but have no idea what, I start with the returns shelf, I almost always find something there.

Hello, welcome to BCF. Hope you enjoy your chosen books, I`m sure you will, & you`ve got a few ideas for the future. I`m sure you`ll soon be hooked. -
Are you still reading Second Glance/chance?(think you got away with it!) I`m struggling with it & about to give up on it I think, can`t really say why! It`s never a bad thing for the family to realise just how much you do for them, so don`t feel bad! they`ll appreciate you all the more later!! It`s frustrating not being able "to do for yourself" though isn`t it? For my sins, (I love it really) I work in a special school, as a teaching assistant. It can be hard at times, especially when you`re getting bitten & kicked! but I can`t think of anything else I`d like to do, ( except win the lottery) A little joke for you: A woman was admitted to hospital with a hoover nozzle wedged in her fanny.Although she`s in intensive care, Drs. say she`s picking up nicely! ha-ha!! x
